So I was going here for years... During a visit a couple years ago I brought up severe pain in my head scalp hair movement was horrendous and only seems to get really bad during really bad migraine of 8n above I brought this up to the doctor I asked him if he thought that it would be something neurologically and I was brushed off and he said he's not sure about that n likely not connectedwhile looking a bit confused so years later I try to do my own research as it's very painful and there has to be a name for this I can't be the only one with this so I looked it up and sure enough there is a name for it and it's,Allodynia, is rare, however, it's common in people with neuropathic pain.maybe he didn't know better but I need to find a doctor n practice who does.also with excruciating Temple pain at a constant for many years it is very possible tho this was never known to me until I did my own research that it could be Temporal Arteritis again something else that was never discussed or even put on the table as a possibility. And I think that if you've been my doctoradam johnsonfor years and none of this was acknowledged it's time for me to move on to somebody who will acknowledge it.
DON'T waist your time seeing Dr. Mehta! He use to work at Togus VA! He kept telling me nothing was wrong with my spine that it is as all in my head. How is severe pain, not being able to carry a jug of milk because it shuts off the use of my legs, pain with bending over, sitting etc. Well I brought my husband to my appointment one day because Dr Mehta kept treating me poorly. Well my husband got to see the "doctor" yell at me, make me cry and tell me my issues were all in my head. I am a female combat veteran that has been through some stuff and kept head held high. This "doctor" made me feel worthless. I was looking for answers and couldn't get anywhere with this guy. He sent me to the VA in Massachusetts where they found numerous issues with my spine. Such severe issues I was told I couldn't carry a baby safely and shouldn't risk it. Remind you they read the scans and tests I had done in Maine!!!!!! So how this "doctor" chose to dismiss me like a crazy person makes me sick! He shouldn't be able to practice!!!!!!
My daughter and I both see the same neurologist. And he has done wonders with our health and most importantly, moving towards wellness. The staff has a high turn over. They speak about the doctor behind his back. And I am currently on hold, for the third time in three weeks, asking for paperwork I requested to be completed in June. The last time I called, the MA was extremely rude. This time, I have literally been on hold for eight minutes. The office needs to be run better. My doctor - I would give 5 stars. Edit - a short time after I posted this review and before I saw the below comment the office did call me. They are actively working to make the situation correct with the proper people. That they reached out shows a willingness to work with their patients. I will give credit where credit is due. I increased this star rating from two to five for my doctor's care and the attentiveness when this situation was brought to the proper people's attention.
My Significant other has had nothing but issues with this office as well as “Dr.Mehta”. She had recently got a Lumbar Puncture and has had nothing but complications since. She’s in extreme pain everyday With a baseball size swollen area on her back For over a month. The many “appointments” she has had with Dr.Mehta has gone no where. He either downplays the situation or refuses to help her in any way. Dr.Mehta refuses to proscribe any type of pain med to help. He makes recommendations purely based on what works for the general public and not what the needs of the patient are. This is borderline malpractice. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.
Can't maintain a schedule, or keep competent staff. If you have an appointment, they will reschedule for months later. And if you check in to early 15min they forget and tell doctor your a no show, and let you sit 30mins until you ask, then they tell you sorry I forgot, the doctor is gone. They marked me a no show, the staff is not able or unwilling to fix their mistakes in a timely manner. Pick again, if you have choice.
As I sit here reading the reviews from other patients... I am honestly surprised. I have ALWAYS received amazing care from my Neurologist Dr. Ross and from Adam. The nurses have never been anything but caring and pleasant. Same with the receptionist and the ladies who do EEG’s. I have suffered with migraines since I was a child 11 years old for over 30 years, and have tried many different medications to help. Some of which I am allergic to, and the staff here is very understanding and caring towards that and have worked WITH me to help. I had recently been diagnosed with Tonic Epilepsy... which in itself is scary, Dr. Ross has been amazing!! I was hospitalized in May, and Dr. Ross was the neurologist on call the next morning at the hospital and promised to figure out what was going on and help!! He did, and I am very thankful for all he has done for me!! The following day another Neurologist was on rounds in the hospital and had a difference of opinion... and we tried what he suggested... and it didn’t work. The hospital staff and CMN worked together and helped me TREMENDOUSLY. For that I am forever thankful. I could never say enough positive about the care I have received there. So thank you ALL for working so hard for me.
Completely incompetent and unprofessional staff. I brought my son's father to an appointment there to address seizures he's been having since he had brain surgery. He had a small seizure while at the office and was confused when he came to. He has seizures regularly every day. The staff took it upon themselves to call an ambulance to bring him to the hospital even though he wasn't having a medical emergency. When the paramedic came he tried to force him to go into the ambulance and wouldn't let him smoke a cigarette before going. My childs father just wanted to smoke one last cig cause u can't smoke at the hospital. So they escalated the situation and called the cops and tried to keep him there. The end result was my 5yr old seeing his father tackled and sedated. Then the staff took it upon themselves to call dhhs about the incident. Dhhs investigated and found no evidence of abuse or neglect. I would never use this doctors office again. I am seriously considering suing.
My husband needed to schedule at a 3 month mark after his brain surgery. They made it at a 4 month mark. This was to allow him to go back to work and resume driving. They called twice to confirm before the appointment. THE MORNING OF, after I took the day off from work to drive him, they call as we are about to go out the door we live an hour and 15 minutes away, to say they made a mistake and we can't be seen until 2!!! Which means getting our child out of school early and taking him with us or rescheduling for another day, who KNOWS how far out after waiting an extra month to get in!! Funny they are so backed up with the schedule but can find a same day appointment to fix THEIR screw up! So unprofessional!!
The doctor is wonderful, however the nurses/front end is a joke, they lie, have no idea what they are doing, they don't care about their patients they are all there for a paycheck, these people are a joke. Four years I've been with them and now it's time to go somewhere else, would not recommend
Have me for a app at 8 am stay up all night just too tell me they have to reschedule when I show up. Typical my apologies response
