Built in 1906 for the Central of Georgia Railroad by the Baldwin Locomotive Works
A 2-8-0 type locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania in 1906. It was sold to the Central of Georgia Railroad where it ran as a local fright engine. In 1924, it was modernized and converted from slide valve to piston valve and given new valve gear. This tiny locomotive was given elements of early "super power steam" which gave it a tractive effort of 44,000 lbs. In 1953, the locomotive was retired from service and used as a display locomotive by the Central of Georgia at various functions. In 1959, the locomotive was placed in Central City Park in what is now known as Benny Scott Plaza on display where is has sat 52 years.
