Central Park Apartments

This place is incredible. I have looked at a lot of places in Lansing and surrounding areas and I was so worried about finding a decent place in Lansing that was affordable. I was very picky. Thankfully, I had the most patient leasing agents who walked me through several options over the phone and everything was ready to go on my move in date. t was such a smooth transition. I got exactly what I hoped for and as small maintenance requests arose, I was EXTREMLY impressed with the prompt response from their team. All my requests were fixed within 12-15 hours. Requests were assigned to a tech, and I was notified with a personalized message it was complete via email and a text. There is a HUGE pool, gym, sauna, amazon HUB to keep packages from being stolen and I liked that there was a washer and dryer in my unit. The buildings have doors that lock to the outside so it feels safe. The vaulted ceilings on my 3rd floor are SO SPACIOUS. I really like the grey color scheme they have on the walls already too-it matches everything!! I had a few questions after I moved in, and the staff was very helpful and they genuinely seem kind and accessible. Bonus points for the car port and fireplace that you aren't paying extra for!! Who hoooo!

My roommate and I have had nothing, but bad experiences since moving here. The apartment was disgusting when we moved in and the maintenance and office staff have been extremely unhelpful. They have refused to call us back to answer our concerns. We put out 60 days notice in a month ago and know that we need to be moved out by the end of this month. We have repeatedly called and emailed the office to give us an official move out date, but they won’t give us an answer. We have been calling and messaging for weeks now, so this whole things is very frustrating. Do not move into this place unless you like being ignored Update: Still have not heard anything from them. I like how they respond to my review, but when I email and call them back they never get back to me or tell me they will leave a message with the leasing office. This place is horrible.

The management team when I first moved in 2021 was so helpful, but earlier this summer I had found live bees in my apartment that was not the case as they got all new staff. The maintenance team throughout my time at Central Park was AMAZING and so quick to help out when they could. When it came to the bee issues the exterminator said oh this should fix it and ended up having more bees in my apartment then before, the maintenance team came out and found 3 nests in which bees were able to come into my apartment. I had dealt with live bees in my apartment from early june to when I moved out in october. Mulitple times was I told that I had to wait for the exterminator to come out which was the 1st and 3rd friday of the month and that they could not come any sooner so I would have to wait, then when I would call about it I was told it was not reported to the staff as it would be a maintenance issue even though it was a third party handling the bee situation. As i was getting ready to move out the new property manager did the best that she could, however I was left with a bad taste in my mouth with how management dealt with this situation.

This apartment complex is set in a nice, quiet area immediately surrounded by meadows and trees I am from California, so I called it a forest. Conveniently, nearby, there are shops and stores like Walmart, ALDI supermarket, Thai Princess, etc. The staffs here are very friendly and helpful. Jimi Bellon the assistant property manager has been especially very responsive and dedicated to delivering great prospect experience and quality tenant service. He has been my go-to contact for questions and requests. He delivers!

Candace is a gift sent from God. She made a very upset me, happy in a matter of seconds and solved my issue with no pushback or attitude even when my attitude turned. She’s skilled at her job & always puts residents first, which is rare to find in apartment management now a days. Her communication skills are top-notch! Candace gets a 10/10 from me!

Among the apartments in the Okemos area, I think it is one of the best place to live in many ways. And, the reception and work processing of the leasing office staff is very efficient and friendly, so I am very satisfied.
