The mission of CFH is to provide affordable housing opportunities throughout Northern Va to low & moderate individuals, families, the elderly and disabled.
CFH was founded by a group of Catholic Laity and Fr. Gerard Creedon in 1979 in response to the Catholic Bishops’ letter, “A Right to a Decent Home”. Today, CFH is governed by a board of Directors and receives technical support from an Advisory Board. CFH currently provides housing options on a non-discriminatory basis throughout Northern Virginia:
v Affordable Homeownership Initiatives
v Affordable Rental Programs
v Senior Rental Assistance
v Security Deposit Assistance
v Collaborative efforts for Education and Advocacy
CFH has an Executive Director and Program Manager to administer the CFH programs.
CFH is committed to collaborating with others to support the development, construction or rehabilitation of affordable housing so that permanent shelter might be more available to serve the needs of limited income families, the elderly and the disabled.
