Chad B. Sterle was born and raised in Nashwauk, Minnesota, and is a 1991 graduate of Nashwauk/Keewatin High School. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at St. John's University in 1995, Chad attended the Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. While attending classes, he worked as a prosecutor for both Spokane and Pend O'Reille Counties.
After earning his J.D. in 1998, Chad returned to Minnesota to work as a prosecutor for the Hennepin County Attorney's Office. When offered a job by the Itasca County Attorney's Office in the fall of 1999, he quickly accepted, eager to return to his hometown area.
In 2001, Chad moved to the Office of Dimich, Swanson & Sterle (now Dimich and Sterle) in Grand Rapids, where he was made a partner. He represented and prosecuted for cities including Keewatin, Nashwauk, Bovey, Coleraine, Marble, Hill City, La Prairie and Grand Rapids.
In 2009, Chad founded an independent office and made the switch to representing private clients. He now focuses on criminal defense, family law, and general litigation and practices both in Northern Minnesota and across the state.
