Champion Orthopaedics

After nearly a decade relationship with Dr. Torrence, I was informed I was done with him. About a year ago, I was issued a temporary handicap placard. This placard made all the difference in my day to day life. Between two bad knees that I was prescribed corrective orthopedic braces for, and the multiple problems with my back, the card was a life saver. More often than not, it was the only reason I was able to leave the house. As it expired, I was hospitalized for an unrelated issue. Upon trying to get it renewed or even made permanant, I was told that because I didn't go to a referral doctor for more testing, that I can't get it extended. I cannot afford the rheumatologist as I am unable to work. So I'm bad enough to merit dual corrective braces, and a prescription for a cane, but not enough for a placard. This call today was after nearly a half dozen unanswered messages were left with the office. This office also has a time limit, 1 year I believe, that if you haven't had an appointment in that time frame, you are considered a "new patient" and are charged a higher rate. A policy I have run up against repeatedly as a patient of theirs for around a decade.

I have just seen doctor here for issues with my knee, very professional along with the rest of the staff. I am out of work and applying for short term disability, well come to find out the person who fills out the paper work to be sent in to my company is on vacation all week. Finally got a hold of Jenny about my paper work and come to find out they charge an extra fee to fill out and send in paper work. Was never told about fee the week before when seeing the doctor. I have good insurance but i feel like I'm being extorted for more, you think this would all fall under the medical part. Well after all is said and done I will be informing my fellow employees of the issues with this office and procedures.

Fantastic experience so far. Have met with 2 different Dr's for different reasons. Both were great & optimistic as well as willing to listen to my point of view. As long as they stay in my ins. I will continue with this practice

Have used Champion Orthopedics with all 4 of my children's sports needs with excellent results. Have had 3 surgical procedures with Dr. Jewel Duncan and have nothing but praise for his surgical skills and the excellent staff alongside him. Have seen other Drs. within this group and again impressed with their professional compassionate care. Sheduling another surgical procedure in the future and have utmost confidence in the outcome.

I had to relocate due to my previous surgeon retiring. Doctor Torrance is absolutely amazing!! He helped make my transition smooth and seamless. He never gets in a hurry and takes his time explaining things. So glad I found him!!

My daughter came here to get help with a bad hip. Dr. Rolled her on the wrong hip he had the MRI with him I highly doubt he even viewed it. Extremely rude and unprofessional towards my daughter. Trust me if I was at the appointment I would have stood up for my daughter and walked out.

Every one is so nice. From the front office to the back. He gave me a cortisone shot and I never felt a thing. Him and his nurse are very caring

Can't get an appointment after 3 attempts. My insurance had to approve the medication. The pharmacy called me for the co-pay that the insurance company approved.It was delivered to Champion orthopedics. They left a message for me to schedule an appointment. I've tried on 3 occasion

The entire staff is friendly, professional, and very welcoming. Dr. Crosland was thorough, friendly, and took his time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Excellent service from a fine bunch of people. Could not be happier with the service provided. The doctor was great, but the real hero's at this place are the friendly and caring nurses.
