Very nice park with a small lake. It's in a pretty quiet area so I found it very peaceful. It also wasn't too busy at the park itself when I went on a Sunday evening. There are a few walking trails that go throughout the park that connect the multiple playgrounds, splash pad, basketball court, and the lake. The trails are paved and are nice to take a walk on. There are a few bridges that go over the water and lots of birds with ducks and geese all over. Loved this park and my kids loved it too! Playground: Playgrounds were amazing, some of the nicest I've seen honestly and my kids loved them. Picnic area: There were many picnic areas throughout the park, most of which had nice canopies over them.
Driving through the town of Lovington found this cute little place to stop! Spent some time with the ducks and the twins loved the little walk from the pond to the playground they loved the playground we had a very nice time here! Picnic area: Lots of tables and picnic areas
Great place for exercise and taking kids. I truly enjoyed it and I love that there is a duvk feeder out there to be able to feed the ducks when you don't have bread. Just watch out! They follow you! I also think it's a wonderful place for picnics. The only 2 comments I would make are some of the tables are wobbly and there was some trash where the ducks were swimming. That's where ducks live... Let's try not to trash it out. Respect the people who work there, respect the ducks, and respect the Earth! Protect the animals and environment!
The city should be EMBARRASSED, i grew up coming to this park and i came back to visit with my daughter who is 5 and i couldn't even take her in the "restroom". It looked like a crime scene in there. I understand how frustrating it is for people to continually trash things but to just let it all completely go? Maybe they wouldn't be as destructive if you actually took pride in your facilities. I don't remember it ever being nice or clean or stocked but it WAS usable. This is a park for children- CLEAN IT UP! I wish i took photos but i had to rush my daughter to allsups.
Sure would be nice if people didn't throw their refuse everywhere and didn't smell like Dookie all kinds. Went today still garbage everywhere
Grass burrs ever 1/4 in grass has not been watered all year picnic areas are trashed goffer holes ever 12" not safe for kids to run and play, disgrace to be called a city park. I've seen several vacant lots in Lovington that are in bettet shape City of Lovington cant ever run a mower over it. Shame on this place
This park is a great place to hang out! It has a variety of activities. I loved walking around the water and our group had room to play softball.
Water is a good relaxing place for peace and quiet nice fish that come out of here as well.
Great for fishing with the kids lots of bluegill and crappie by the Bridges but I think they need to clean it up a little and add some chemical to the water to help clean it up because the big fish don't look all that good but others like small fish look really really good
