Chapel Haven Schleifer Center is an award-winning profit that empowers adults with varying abilities to live independent and satisfying lives.

Description

Through our three programs (see links below), Chapel Haven provides a comprehensive continuum of special educational, residential, vocational and life skills programming to young adults with disabilities. A special focus is placed on teaching social communicative skills competency, effective coping strategies, problem solving and self-determination skills, blended with the more traditional instruction in apartment living, life skills acquisition, career experiences, college supports were appropriate, employment, education and social recreation. Chapel Haven accepts adults for its core, 24-month residential programs, along with day students, summer experiences, and adults with the ability to live in our supported living community. In a unique feature, our graduates may choose to stay on in our communities, New Haven and Tucson, AZ, and continue to pursue happy and productive lives with a la carte-style supports from our caring support coordinators. Chapel Haven has nearly 300 community members who live in our neighborhoods. Chapel Haven is truly a choice of a lifetime for motivated adults seeking an independent community.
