Officer Castro recently responded to a major theft in my area. He was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Thank you for your candor in a difficult time. As I have lived many places. Recently arrived in N.C.. I could not be more pleased by your excellent service even to a new resident. My property was luckily recovered just a day later after his quick response. I wish you and yours the best. Take care team Chapel Hill. We support eachother.
Had my car randomly attacked while driving in chapel hill but some local high school thugs. The police was very dismissive, and I do not feel as if they actually cared from the moment they seen what I looked like :.
The police department got in touch with me about a dangerous intersection on my morning commute. One of their lieutenants was very helpful in determining reasonable short and long term goals to address the situation.
The CHPD are always very professional and helpful. Their job is often thankless and not easy. I appreciate all that they do to keep Chapel Hill safe. They are very well trained and operate at the highest ethical standards
This is Christina. I used my husband’s account. There were illegal parking along the road in front of Chapel hill library. They parked along the road and were NOT in the parking lot.My car tried to avoid those car and my car was half falling the edge of road which is under construction. It was dangerous. I called the police, the police officer refused to give the ticket to the illegal parking car. They said there was no “no parking” sign. However there are NOT a parking space. Another side is under construction. It is even hard to drive through for ONE car. Since the road is under construction, there is a big curve and edge. The police officer blamed there is No no parking sign. Another police tried to blame me to drive through this road, however the road is not closed at all. Many people drove this way. Another person approached to the police officer and told him there was similar incidents happened before, it is dangerous. It should NOT allow cars to park along the road. The library should have a no parking sign. However the police officer seems not care. As a resident of Chapel hill, I feel disappointed about the way how the police officers handled this incident. Neglected illegal parking.
So around 3am on 7/20/19 a female police officer showed up to the Nova Complex to remove about 5 people who at the pool making noise. Noise complaints can only be called in when the people are at the pool sneak in. If they were quiet nobody would hear them. The officer who is telling them to leave decided to also express "who she think called and where she think the call came from" to the people. Which is very unprofessional and unethical. Who does that. Right after she realize the pool gate is broken. Which means she didn't even know if they were residents or not. The pool rules or located on the gate as she told them it closes at 10. So why would you mention to them who you think is calling. And she stated "I've been out here three times this week". Well take it up with the property manager. That's your job that you selected to be apart of. That's not paying residents fault that others are doing things they shouldn't do. Hopefully Cheif Blue will read this and talk to the female officer who should have documentation on this issue
This review is for the chapel hill policeman who pulled my parents over on tuesday evening. My dad was driving my mom to the ER for throwing up blood and she needed 3 blood transfusions and emergency surgery. Why couldn't you have done your ethical duty and give them a police escort to the hospital? You already took the time out to pull them over and consumed valuable time getting my mother the proper medical attention she needed!! Her stomach was filled with blood, and you couldn't take the time out when it was late and you were not busy to give them an escort the rest of the way to the er. Wow, this is what is wrong with the police and community, the police only do what they are supposed to and nothing more. You took an oath to help the public, but instead you did nothing. So, thank you again for letting the people who rely on you most down.
Hardworking respectable group of officers. Thank you Officet Cabe, Officer Singh, and a young woman officer, apologies for forgetting your name.
Thank you Chapel Hill Police for doing exactly as expected when I called in about a suspicious vehicle at our apartment complex this morning. Absolutely nothing. No one ever checked it out! I see why this town’s police department has such terrible reviews....we should all be scared!
police dude kinda blows. was very rude when he pushed me in car. no free water bottles in police car. however it was very roomy. police dude was chewing gum but when I asked for some he said that was the last piece sorry : I knew it was a lie because I saw he had more. three stars.
