A friend recommended Chapel of Memories. We used them for my father's funeral. They were excellent. Their prices are very reasonable and they do not try to up-sell you on anything. They offer very good prices on their caskets. The only thing is you get cheaper prices on the whole package if you choose one of their caskets. If you choose to bring in an outside casket which we did then the prices are more. But, still they were very affordable. Also, if you choose cremation and you want to have a viewing beforehand, you can use a rental casket. Blessings to you as you prepare your loved one's funeral. It is not easy to do but is a very rewarding process and an honor to have the task. No mud - no lotus.
My immediate family has utilized the services of this mortuary on several occasions. Chapel of Memories has always provided superior service for our family. The staff has always given us emotional support in our time of grief and loss. We have the highest respect for their abilities and experience in these matters.
I would like to give an excellent review of the mortuary Director Alan Kim. He was extremely respectful and sincere with all the arrangements for my wife's services. He did not pressure me to do or get anything other than what I wanted. He answered all of my questions and helped me and my children through a very difficult time in our lives.
We have used Chapel of Memories several times. A couple of years ago when my mother passed away and just last week when a close friend passed as well. Both times I was in charge of things as well as the other times we used them, I was very impressed with not only the service but the kindness and compassion their staff showed me and my family. Particularly Taryn Thornton. She went above and beyond our expectations. She was patient and happy to explain if we had questions about anything. Thank you Chapel of Memories. God bless you all.
Awful experience at this mortuary. If you go with this mortuary you are missing out big time. My family knows this because, in the past we have used this mortuary twice and this time when we buried my grandmother we used White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier. The guy we had our appointment with hadn't combed his hair, had sneakers on, and was full of excuses as to why the facility was lacking in basic presentation. We were appalled at the condition of the drinking fountain. When used it shoots clear over the machine itself and hits the floor. The staff person thought it was funny, and showed us how to hold our cup and catch the water as it shot out. The fountain water had a foul flavor and was undrinkable. The facility is very very dated and tacky on the inside. My family is by no means into the modern look but, this was a time warp even for us. We were just so surprised and distressed at the low level of professionalism at this mortuary. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself and your family from stress and go to White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier. They are excellent.
My family and friends have used chapel of memories with my parents and multiple family members. Chapel of memories took care if everything. When your in the grieving stage this is most difficult time. It is difficult to continue and place our dearly loved ones to rest. Chapel of memories has the tools and skilled the guidlines to expedite all the matters with dignity and grace.
We had a funeral for my aunt in Dallas and then buried her in California by her husband. They charged us $2,995 to pick her body up from the airport and deliver it to the cemetery. No Services no viewing no flowers nothing else just picking her up. How unfair was that! They basically would not give us her body until we paid. It was one of the most horrible experiences of my life.
I just had my kids fathers viewing service there wed may 19 I love their service my sister also had my nephews services there as well as a few other family members my grandparents n always comforting n extra time is givin I liked that because they understand how hard it is just to wall away. Very professional, detail oriented and reviewed all options and fees with the family, we knew exactly what was being provided, very caring with family concerns and needs. We've used them on two separate occasions and will continue in the future. A+ during very difficult times.
It's not a place I like to visit had to go for viewing
