Chapul is reinventing our culture’s view of food by introducing insects as a healthy, environmentally friendly source of nutrition. Inspired by international cuisine, and guided by the wisdom of our ancestors, Chapul is redefining our modern food supply. In an effort to provide sustenance to our generation, while protecting natural resources for future generations, we invite you to break down societal paradigms that define what food is. Join us in the revolution.
Chapul Bars:
Our flavors are modeled after regions of the world where insects are a delicacy, power food, and/or, deeply rooted in thousands of years of culture.
Thai Flavor
Cultures in Thailand have recognized the benefits of eating insects for countless generations. Next to fresh coconuts and sweet-rice wrapped in banana leaves, are hand-carts filled with over 500 varieties of insects, lining the tropical markets of Thailand. Just ask Angelina Jolie:

Our Thai bar is a little more subtle, with a small amount of the nutty-flavor cricket flour complementing other natural flavors of the region. Enjoy a blend of dates, coconuts, ginger, cashews, lime juice, and of course. . .Chapul cricket flour. No dairy, no soy, no gluten. Yes delicious.
Chaco
PB and Chocolate is the most popular flavor of bar in the United States. Several Native American groups in the US have a history of harvesting seasonal migrations of grasshoppers and crickets. Using stone instruments, they would make flour out of these protein-rich sources of food. We use slightly different tools, but the idea is the same.
In the PBCC, enjoy Chapul cricket flour with ‘ol fashioned peanut butter and chocolate, along with natural protein and omega-3 from flax seed. No dairy, no soy. Yes delicious.
More to come. . .
