I had Hip Replacement Surgery 3 weeks ago with Dr. Toman. My surgery is healing well and I must admit; I am a difficult and demanding patient. All I can say is Thank You. The staff was empathetic, compassionate and understood my experience. They responded with patience and understanding. Overall I give this practice and surgeon very high marks. I will go back to Dr. Toman for my other hip, which unfortunately is also in need of replacement. That says much, my returning to complete my process and recovery. I am being care for my the PT at the practice and anticipate a similar, good experience.
I had surgery on my right elbow by Dr. Toman. From my first office visit I felt confident that I was in good hands. The office and medical staff were friendly, professional and genuinely caring. Dr. Toman answered all my questions and dispelled my concerns with in-depth explanations about my procedure. Dr. Toman took his time during every appointment before and after the surgery. I never felt rushed out of the exam room or the office. My surgery was a success, and I had no difficulty during my healing process. His staff schedule at home nursing, occupational, and physical therapy that began shortly after surgery. All I had to do was answer my phone and be home for the appointment. I recommend Dr. Toman to anyone looking for an orthopedist.
This is review is long over due. Sorry about that Dr. Toman. There should be a reserved parking spot for me at his office. Dr. Toman has repaired my right shoulder, he repaired my left patella tear in my knee and also repaired a right quad tear at the patella. All within the last 3 years. I am 52 years old and am very active. I have fully recovered from all three of my surgeries. I play golf 2 times per week, I am back in the gym 4 to 5 days a week doing light lifting and back on the tennis court. I also am back to running. Dr. Toman is a great surgeon, his office staff are always friendly. I can't thank him enough for pretty much rebuilding me so I can still enjoy working out and doing everything I want to do. I have recommended him to several friends that all have had great experiences with Dr. Toman. Great surgeon and very honest.
Dr. Toman reattached my lower bicep tendon to my forearm. This is not a common injury however Dr. Toman is experienced with this surgery and did an excellent job. When I contacted his office, I was given an appointment for the next morning. Dr. Toman was clear in his diagnosis and what would be required. The arm is doing great and his care from start to finish has been exemplary.
I travel extensively and have had regular post surgical exams as prescribed. Each surgeon has had positive comments about the surgical joint replacement and asked the surgeons name Dr. Toman. These doctors include the former Head of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU and an orthopedic surgeon that does numerous second joint replacement surgeries. None are local to the South Florida area. Dr. Toman is a good surgeon willing to work with numerous insurers and insurance plans. He was just what the doctor ordered.
Dr.Toman performed surgery on my collar bone, the entire process was very straightforward and very organized. His entire staff and himself were great from the first visit to surgery to following up. I also attended the physical therapy department at Dr.Toman’s office, they staff were extremely friendly and invistes into helping their patients recover. 10/10 would recommend Dr.Toman and his team for any orthopedic needs.
Dr. Toman surgically repaired my rotator cuff and torn bicep this past March. I knew it would be a long rehab and the first month it was challenging to sleep; I rented a recliner and that helped. It wasn't a surprise because Dr. Toman and his staff were up front about everything. My wife helped me a lot, at home. By the end of the 2nd month, the worst is in the past. This week I had my 6-month checkup and all my range of motion is back and I can sleep any way I want to and my arm feels strong and is getting stronger. It's great! The on-site physical therapy team was professional and fun at the same time. I didn't realize it until I started going, but it was advantageous to know the therapy department could easily check with the doctor if I had any questions, and I had a few. The outcome has been excellent.
I want to start by saying Thank you to Dr Toman and his staff. I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and what an amazing job he did. I am a very complicated case due to my epilepsy, well he handled not only my shoulder but made sure to know everything possible about my epilepsy before hand. I also loved that he used the CPM chair following surgery that was a blessing. My neighbor whom had surgery on her shoulder around the same timedifferent dr didn’t do as well with range of motion as I did. I believe it is because of the cpm chair that dr Toman uses. Not only is dr Toman a wonderful doctor that really knows what he’s doing. He also know what resources to use for after care. He is caring, professional and makes sure his staff is on point. My mom just had surgery on her shoulder and a shout out to the surgical coordinator Christine for going above and beyond to help her. Can’t say enough great things about Dr Toman and his work!! Made an appointment the day before went to the appointment they charge me co-pay and my insurance. They literally handed me a business card and told me to go somewhere else when I thought I was being taken care of for my broken bone in my hand. and my fractured bone is literally poking out.such a scam asked for a refund and they said they looked at the x-rays from a different hospital when they said they were going to do their own x-ray and MRI and receptionist lied and told the person she did not say that.
I couldn't be happier than my experience with Dr. Toman. First and foremost he is an excellent surgeon.I had a reverse shoulder replacement on a "non virgin" shoulder, which turned out better than expected. I have no pain, which he promised me, and after only 5 months, a good range of motion.He is easy to talk to, great bedside manner, and answers all your questions.His staff is also lovely, accommodating , and professional. Also, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointments. I hope I won't need any further surgeries in the future, but if I do, I won't hesitate to use Dr Toman.
