Advocacy, Education, and Fundraising benefiting The Charleston County Public Library system.
The Charleston Friends of the Library raise money for library programs through memberships and by hosting book sales and other fundraising events. The Friends help finance programs and projects such as the Summer Reading program and Homework Help that the Library otherwise could not afford.
We also represent the interests of patrons and provide a voice for their concerns and needs, serving as an important link between the Library and the public.
The Charleston Friends of the Library is a non-profit, organization dedicated to promoting our Library as an essential institution of our society. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the larger Charleston county community.
