I can’t say enough great things about Charleston Neuropsychology. I highly recommend them. Everyone there was courteous, professional and patient.
I’ve been a patient here for 5 years and on my most recent visit 10/17/22 I was so pleased with all of the fresh new faces in the front office and with the new management. Everyone was so kind, patient and pleasant. There is no one better than Dr. Teichner. I highly recommend Charleston Neuropsychology !
Jeannie Jones who is the office manager is very unprofessional. I called to cancel an appointment on behalf of my mother that experienced head trauma and memory loss. Instead of asking for context her response was, "Your mother is an adult and needs to cancel herself." You would think someone in this field would have a little empathy however she has none. She also gave me difficulty with setting up the appointment which I ignored because it was recommended by her primary doctor however her neurologist suggested we wait before seeking neuropsychology. Its unfortunate that I did not get to see the doctor so I can't speak for the practice but I hope she doesn't represent the rest of the establishment. She needs customer service training ASAP.
We were told that the "testing" would be able to add accommodations to a 504 plan for anxiety. We agreed to the test for anxiety since we needed help with accommodations on the 504 plan specifically for anxiety. They are in-network with our insurance. We had to pre- pay a $600 "deposit" because we were told that they hate dealing with our insurance and the deposit covers the cost in case the insurance doesn't pay. We were told we are the last Cigna clients they will be accepting because they hate dealing with Cigna. Cigna paid them $600 but they said that there was additional tests Cigna didn't cover? She was only there one day to take the test. Cigna said they billed the date the test was taken as an "office visit" for $600 and the day we picked up the test results report as a $600 "office visit". They didn't bill for any testing. They are double dipping for payment. They got my $600 "deposit" from us plus were paid $600 by Cigna. The worst part is after we got the results, we were told there is no test for anxiety and they don't know what accommodations they can ask for with the diagnosis of anxiety. Total waste of money. Total scam. They should have told us that the test doesn't test for anxiety. We wouldn't have wasted our time with it. We received no accommodations to have added to the 504 plan. Our insurance is fighting to get our $600 overpayment refunded and we'll probably end up taking them to small claims court.
The office staff and manager Jeannie are incredibly unprofessional. I left to not have to interact with them again.
