My wife ate here many times 10+ years ago, and she remembers that because it was so good. We decided to go here for date night last week, and it did not disappoint! I enjoyed reading some of the sports articles on the walls and learning about the history of the restaurant. We both ordered the award-winning chicken fried steak. It was great! The gravy has a different taste than what I’m used to, but it was still amazing. I absolutely recommend the chicken fried steak, and next time I will try something different. I mentioned this restaurant to my parents, and they told me there was a food court in Houston, TX called Good Time Charlie’s in the 1970s. Not sure if there’s a connection?
Charlie's has the feel of a long standing local treasure. It's the sort of local place that stood the test of time somehow making it through COVID and we're all better for it. Charlie's has character. It has spirit. It's the kind of place you'd imagine that inspired the bar in the long running TV show Cheers - where everybody knows your name. It was my first time in the joint, but somehow it felt like I was going home. Maybe it was because they treated us like family. They sincerely cared about us and worked in earnest to ensure we were well served and satisfied - but without hassling us. Some of the best service I have had in YEARS. Our food was out SURPRISINGLY fast, and it disappeared off our plates pretty quickly too
We got steak fingers and an old fashioned hamburger. Everything was fantastic. Staff were all very friendly and service was super quick. Not kidding, our order came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Will definitely be back again.Food: 5/5

We visited this place as an early birthday lunch for my mom today. Let me say this place had good food, and we will definitely be back! We ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans, and it was so good! Although we had a 20-minute wait upon arriving, the food was definitely worth the wait. It was a total of four meals with one margarita totaling $85.
Friends took me to this restaurant. Best way to describe it is a standard greasy spoon restaurant.. so you know its going to be DELICIOUS and might be worth the heart attack afterwards. The place always has a line no matter what time of the day you go but the line moves quickly. Worth checking out. Has a very mom and pop feel to it.
What a great variety available here. Huge onion rings and over the top appetizers. Take your time studying the menu. Chicken fried steak and Cheese burgers are some of the most popular items. Popular place for everyone and we see lots of golfers after a round of golf at Old Brack.Food: 5/5
Came for dinner. The biggest issue I saw was that the menu changed. ! No more combos! You pay for everything. Just like shake shack. Everything was good. Parking lot was a little bit bigger. The waitress was nice and friendly. Sorry, but I'm not returning because the menu is ridiculous crazy. Time are changing and so must I. NO ratings.
Huge proportions,extremely fresh homemade yummy food , ice-cold drinks, and very cold restaurant , bring a sweater. This is a very fast-paced place . Food comes out pretty quickly. Staff are nice, but not too attentive. I think probably because one is a bar atmosphere and the waitresses are super busy. This is a very busy place. My hubby and I can't wait to bring the kids and come here again. It's super affordable, and we can even share our plates with the kids.
