Service was good when we had it, but we were looking to cut back on the cost. Called in to cancel and they told us that they don't do retroactive refunds, so I kept the service even though we couldn't use it yeah, dumb on my part. When the time comes to cancel our serivce, I took our equipment to the local store so I could cancel and they told me the primary my husband had to cancel it. Went home and called in again and I was able to cancel it. Then get an email this week saying we get retroactive pay for canceling with them!!@ AND when I went to cancel the internet the second time over the phone, they said our account was set at the original speed of 100Mb and their new standard was 300mb. So why didn't they automatically upgrade our speed to their new "standard service"?? Grrrr. Just got a check for $1.25 from them.
If I could give you a zero I would! The mgr of the Spectrum sales is the rudest business man or “ carnival salesman “ I’ve ever dealt with! VERY IMMATURE !! Trying to get resolution for a phone they sold and washed there hands of is the worst customer service ever! I couldn’t even get a phone number from the company they purchased and sell phones through. Watching an immature salesman squirm when you try to hold them accountable. It was quite entertaining when he threatened to call the police for his claim I was rude by holding him accountable. The only dangerous threat was coming from the owner and manager of this “carnival hypnotist salesman!” NEVER BUY A PHONE FROM THIS SPECTRUM STORE BECAUSE THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND WHEN THE PHONE QUITS WORKING AND GOOD LUCK TRYING TO GET A CUSTOM SERVICE NUMBER OF THE PHONE MANUFACTURE THEY BOUGHT IT FROM!
0 stars if Google allowed. We switched to our local HBC and so glad we did. Spectrum’s “technician” came to the building we live in and disconnected our internet so they could plug there’s in for another apartment. The worst part is that they left ours unplugged. When we called spectrum’s customer support, all they had to say was that, “if it’s in the way then we disconnect and your provider needs to come fix yours.” HBC came out and said that spectrum is notorious for this and that the “technician” was too lazy to run a line for his own internet and instead used HBC’s line. Support your local internet provider and not this shady franchise.
We recently disconnected our cable and on my lunch break I went to return our cable box. The customer service agent was so unwelcoming and downright rude I was taken aback. In this day of streaming services at a fraction of the cost of cable, you would think good customer service would be a top priority.
I really don’t know where to begin. Spectrum is the best option for wifi in winona… which is ridiculous as they are unbearable for many different reasons. My download speeds are 1/6 of what my plan provides. If this were the only issue I could be satisfied with my mediocre service. Unfortunately on multiple different occasions I have been charged for a product or service that I never received, or even asked for. With every customer service call, I am further away from a solution, or lied to and told that my problem is fixed. It took me two months to get money back for a service I never asked for. Once I got my money back, I was denied ONE free month of services for the many inconveniences and countless phone calls. This, to me, shows a HUGE lack of care for paying customers. All I can say is that if there was a better option, I would pick that. Spectrum thanks for your years of being difficult and not helpful
$75 for 100 Mbps is a joke. Also I forgot to mention, when I was transferring service I accepted one of the offers for a "try free, money back after 30 days" just to get off the phone. I canceled it about 3 days later. THEY STILL BILLED ME after 30 days. Once I saw it I immediately contacted them and they refunded it, but imagine if this happens to someone who simply forgets to check? Awful company.
Seth at the Spectrum Store was extremely helpful and courteous when I needed to return my cable boxes.
A woman whom I met 30 years ago had just opened the door. I was drawn to the TV screens where she was going to be sitting. I was happy to hear that the local office had re-opened. I prefer paying DIRECTLY than paying by phone.
The store in my city is closed. So I had to return the equipment to another location. The person I talked to on the phone was very nice. I realize it wasn't thier fault they have no control of company policies. Speaking of the company. Why are you raising your rates again? This is ridiculous. They are loosing people every day. Some have been loyal customers for decades don't you think they deserve a break!!! If someone has been acquiring your service for a while you should want to keep them. This is ashame that a company can be so greedy
Went in there trying to hand them money to get internet at my place and they would not do it because the prior account holder at my address hadn’t returned equipment. One would think one account would be mutually exclusive from another. I just want to open a new account and it is impossible. I’m looking elsewhere. Lady had quite the attitude as well.
