Chartwell Barton Retirement Residence

We moved my Mother in to Chartwell Barton Retirement Residence just over a week ago. The process was easy and seamless thanks to Joelle who has been terrific through the whole process. I toured a few retirement homes before choosing this one. None of the other seemed to have the atmosphere or vibe that Barton has. The family felt that Mom would be very comfortable here. In the short time she has been there she has adjusted well and is enjoying her stay. Much of this is due the the fantastic staff that they have. They are always helpful and willing to answer any questions I may have no matter how small they may be. I would highly recommend Barton to anyone considering a Retirement home for there loved one. I think it is a great place and more importantly so does my Mom.

When looking for a retirement residence for our mother the Barton had a good feel as soon as we came through the front door. The staff were welcoming in a friendly not overwhelming way. The residence facilities and grounds are convenient and has everything our mother needs. Our thanks to the staff and management at Barton, they have made our mother's transition very smooth.

We moved our mother into Barton three+ years ago, just before COVID hit. The family guilt was overwhelming but the Barton team took care of each and every resident as if they were their own. They did a fantastic job of keeping the residents safe throughout. Mom was fiercely independent but soon adapted with their help to being more active socially during meals and made several cherished friends. She loved the meals, her weekly room cleaning and many visits by staff to just say hello. The nursing staff helped mom through many harder times, always on top of things and keeping family advised. Management was exceptional, couldn’t do enough for our cherished mom. As a family we soon knew that mom would always be looked after and trusted her in their hands. Living there was like being in a room with cherished friends and family. Thank you Barton staff for loving mom and looking after her gracefully until the end. We’ll never forget you!

My mother has been at the Barton for almost 2 months now and has settled in quite nicely. She finds the staff to be very kind and helpful. She's happy with the food and on the rare occasion when she does not like what is being offered, the staff are happy to accommodate and make something else for her. She doesn't have any issues with the fellow residents and has found them to be warm and welcoming. She likes her room and it has been well kept. She has enjoyed the entertainers that have come in and the church services that she has attended. She has been thrilled with the on-site salon and visits there weekly. She has not taken advantage of some of the activities exercise classes, bus trips, etc. just yet but hopes to partake in them in the near future.

I have been working at the Barton for almost 3 years now. It is the most wholesome place I have ever worked! The staff and residents are like family with one another and there is no "hospital vibe" you can get with other senior living homes. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else, I am so grateful for Chartwell Barton.

The quality of any business starts with the people, and the leadership. The entire team at the Chartwell Barton retirement residence has a single goal of creating a warm and welcoming environment for the residents. The staff demonstrates this same focus with how they treat their vendors. I am fortunate to provide some piano entertainment, and I am always treated with delightful staff and happy smiling residents. Highly recommend you consider Barton and pay a visit.

I have been an singer/entertainer for many years at Chartwell Barton. The minute I walk in, I get a comfy/cozy feeling from not only the lovely surroundings but the friendly staff and residents! It is always a pleasure to bring my various theme shows to Chartwell Barton, as I know they are always appreciated by the residents and I always leave with a smile on my face! A wonderful place to consider home if you are looking for a retirement home to "hang your hat".

I recently started working for Chartwell Barton retirement residence. I have been welcomed with open arms into the Barton family, Very friendly and helpful staff surround me and the environment is very cheerful and positive. I highly recommend working for the Barton and or having a family member stay at the Barton and become part of the growing family.

I find The Barton to be such a caring, warm place with highly motivated personel. One of the first friendly faces you meet when you arrive at The Barton is Joelle Hawley. She is knowledgeable, and has an endearing sense of humour. It is always a pleasure to speak with her! Thank you, Joelle, for everything you do to make the residents' home so inviting!

My girlfriend works at this retirement home as a server. Her colleagues Nikita B. Tim M. Carly P. Alex A, have been harassing her for over a month since early-mid February 2023 My girlfriend has reported to the general manager as well as the kitchen manager multiple times. The staff has been spoken to multiple times about this, but the bullying still occurs. Just recently my girlfriend has been threatened by these coworkers. All steps have been taken with informing management, but no disciplinary action has taken place towards the coworkers.
