I would give ZERO stars if possible. Caroline Barrera is the least helpful associate. They say appointments are not required but you still get turned away with appointments and long wait times.

Love this branch. Their staff is very professional and quite helpful. Banking and investment services available. Free parking in the back, conveniently located in the heart of Metuchen. Historic building has character. I do wish their drive through windows were operational.

I visited Chase Branch at Metuchen, NJ today, to open my account. Excellent customer service provided by officer Shikha Kochhar. She is very responsive to all my requirements and patiently answered all my questions. She also helped me link my other accounts too, into my chase portal. It is people like Shikha who make all the difference, to make the banking experience memorable.

Extremely slow service. Opened a small business account. Account locked on 1st transfer….Needing to jump through hoops to verify my own identity… while bank officials are polite, service is ludicrously slow… Not worth the time. Taking my business to Bank of America or TD bank. I have had better service with both banks in the past.

Had an appointment to open up an account today. My husband and I are masked because we are medically vulnerable. There was a plastic partition between the banker and ourselves. The banker did not respect our personal space. He was not masked. He wouldn't stay on his side of the partition. He kept coming into our personal spaces. I asked him twice if someone else could help us. He said that they were busy and just kept on doing what he was doing. If you see people wearing masks, you should understand that either they or someone that they are close to are medically vulnerable and give them some personal space. Nobody is wearing masks because it's a fun thing to do. We're wearing masks because it's medically necessary. Stay behind your partition and respect people's personal spaces!

1st visit: tried to change my name and the teller didn’t know how and told me to come back another day because they were closing in 30 minutes because the other teller that knew how to do it was busy. Excuse me? If I’m there you have to take care of me even if you close because I came with enough time. Bad experience. 2nd visit: tried to change my name part 2. The teller told me it was complete so I left. He then called my phone and told me to come back to the bank because he forgot to get me to sign something. I went back and signed. When I got home I got an email saying my new card was on its way only to find out that he spelled my name incorrectly! I had to call again and have them send me a new card all over again. Not to mention the teller assured me that i would still be able to use my debit because my card number wouldn’t change. He said they would send me a card with my new name but same number. The next day I tried to use my card and turns out that he actually cancelled my old debit so I was left without a debit card for 1 week. A disaster of a branch, don’t bother !

unlike my experience at Bank of America branches, this Chase branch had only 2 people in line with 2 tellers working. When I got in line a 3rd teller came up to the window from the back of the office and helped me out. This is great customer service.

There is NOTHING good about this bank. I regret changing from Wells Fargo. The parking lot entrance is unacceptable and the drive through lanes are loaded with employee parking. The ATM is always crowded with a line, the one machine is so SLOW, it is located on the outside in the elements, only one machine, and it is not working more than it is working. If you live in Metuchen DO NOT use the bank, you will find it extremely frustrating trying to drive through a congested town to even get access to this bank. Trust me here, been there and done that, NO GOOD. Whoever designed and approved this bank layout should be fired immediately. Not sure why the town even approved it, guess it is about who you pay off. Shameful.

I needed to open a joint checking account urgent. I left my job early to get there before 5. i got there at 5:30 due to weather conditions lots of rain and traffic and there were a lot of people for just 1 manager to work with them. After being there and it wasn't even 6 pm, they asked me to leave because she was the only one to see all those people. I understand she was the only one, but banks should be prepared to see a lot of people after 5 because people goes to bank after work not everybody is rich to go from 9 to 4 people work! Completely disrespectful sending a client away because the bank don't put enough people to work in there!
