I closed my Chase business account which I was told to do by the Chase claims department and was sent the remaining balance of $200 as an “endorse” cashier check. I went to the Lamar Chase bank to cash it, the manager told me I couldn’t because the check wasn’t in my personal name. Of course it wouldn’t because most business owners don’t put their business in their personal names. She told me I had to reopen my business account in the same business name just to cash it. When I tried to do that, she told me I had to open it in the state my business is registered in. Mind you, I closed it out a that very bank. So, I can close out my business bank account in a state it wasn’t registered in, but can’t reopen up one? They saw my information was in the system – my business name and name as the owner – but still refuse to cash the Chase cashier's check their company made. Again, the cashier’s check was an "endorse" check. The Chase writer’s department told me over the phone I could just write my name next to the “ENDROSE HERE” section and cash it at any Chase bank. I went to the Chase on Collins St and the African American teller cashed it with no problem. All I had to show was two forms of I.D. I brought my business documents just in case. I feel I was racially discriminated against at the Lamar Chase.
After waiting 2 weeks for an appointment, Tiana refused to meet with me after arriving at 1:11pm for my 1:00pm 30 minute appointment. She made no attempt to provide any customer service or retain my business.
The people who work at this branch are great! Problem is the ATM outside is old and malfunctions most of the time. ATM inside front entrance is not much better. Chase needs to update the equipment!!!
There is no longer a sign in book, you just make an appointment online. For my situation, they told me everything they couldn’t do and really weren’t trying to help me. My teenager rolled coins for deposit and the teller was rude about her depositing them.
Do not use this location if Tiana is working. For someone working in retail she spends more of an effort making things harder than finding a solution. 1-She lied about my appointment time I verified with corporate to ensure I did not get the time wrong 2- "If" I was 10min late to a 30min appointment time one notary signature could have been done within the time remaining. 3-She sat at her desk, by herself, did not speak to anyone in the lobby until I had to interact with another associate to inform them I was there while all other associates were busy helping customers.
I am very pleased with the customer service provided at this location. They answer the phone and return phone calls unlike other chase locations that are located near me. Thank you to Chris for returning my phone call after it was missed! To Taina on being flexible to help with setting up my business account. Also very attentive to walk ins.
Lead male teller kept soliciting that I use the ATM in the bank and not him. I advised him that I wanted to see him today. For every comment I said he came back with something else. I noticed our conversation wasn't going anywhere. I advised him he was badgering me and his best words to me should've been "I understand you may not want to use the ATM today. Try it out next time. You might like it." Mind you there was no line. By the end of the conversation he was adamant that the ATM was better then his job security. I'm not afraid of technology. I'm just afraid of my money not being deposited.
Your outside ATM rips people off. I had $500 I was trying to deposit and it ate one of my $20s. It kept spitting my money out and was very frustrating. Check your deposits if you’re using this outside ATM.
The traffic in this bank is very low. Anytime I walk into my Chase Bank in Irving, I have to wait a minimum of 20 minutes to be seen by a banker. At this branch I've never had to wait at all. The people are very friendly and extremely helpful.
Staff was friendly, guy helping me seemed to be new. Charging someone $8 to cash a check because they don’t bank with you is RIDICULOUS no other bank that I’ve been to does that. Do you think you’re a better bank than the others. No not at all.
