For me, this is the highlight of the whole park! As well as telling you about Dolly's history, it has so much memorabilia from her long career. Her iconic 'Coat of Many Colors' is displayed here. As well as costumes, there are Grammy's and numerous other awards on display, as well as guitars and other such items. Make this your first stop when you go in the park!
Detailed look into Dollys past present and future. You can learn how her roots have influenced her music, spirit, and made her the down home true to your roots super star she is today. She puts it all out on the table for the world to see from her humble upbringing to her on state magnificent dresses and all the good and bad in between. A must go for any country music fan and anyone who appreciates the queen of country music.
Amazing! This is definitely worth a walk through whether you are a Dolly fan or not. After walking through you probably will be a dolly fan!!! So many interesting photos and memorable moments that are documented of her life. Even a Dolly hologram so you can be personally greeted by her. Her outfits are all through the museum, as well as old memorabilia such as her high school marching band uniform, report card, diploma, etc. Lastly you can see all of her plaques and recognition she has received through the years as well as all those awards we've only seen them hold on television and in photos. You can see them up close and personal! Don't skip this part of Dollywood, plus there is air conditioning inside and it's a great place to take a break and get out of the heat!
An unusual museum. Filled with memories of Dolly Parton from the time of getting her Coat of Many Colors to her too numerous to mention awards-- hundreds of them! This museum has a feeling I'd awe the moment you step into it until you leave it. A beautiful tribute to a wonderful humanitarian and generous person who has been gifted with many natural talents and who deserves the honor. The museum is colorful, of course, and decorated in excellence. An interesting place to visit! Wow!
This is a must see if you like Dolly Parton. This is where all of her memories are kept. I especially liked the hologram video of Dolly. This woman is amazing and you can tell from walking through this museum.
A wonderful museum for any Dolly fans. I was amazed at all the costumes from so many of her album covers. Huge amount of her awards as well. I love Dolly!
You have to take into account that this is a museum specifically dedicated to Dolly in order to appreciate or understand it. It's very cute for what it is. Her hologram message is sweet and inspirational. But it's low in information and context at times I think she just expects the people who go there to already know what the outfits were from, etc - I did not.
Fantastic museum showcasing Dolly's life. If you admire Dolly Parton like I do, it's a must see when you visit Dollywood
An absolute must if you go to Dollywood spend time and chasing rainbows but make sure you have plenty of time to go through and really enjoy I would suggest allowing yourself anywhere from one to two hours if not more. If you're a true Dolly Parton fan you can stay in there all day long. So many Interactive just place where you can hear her seeing you can ask questions it will answer many things you've always wanted to know about Dolly Parton. Make a special trip go to Dollywood now and go to chasing rainbows. You will see a massive collection of her Awards. More of her dresses than you can ever imagine and one big collection. You will dream over her shoes and just so wish that you had a pair of them
Really disappointed that the museum was closed but no mention on the website as this was the main highlight for me to visit Dollywood. Other reviews hinting it may not reopen is even more upsetting.
