Chefs for Seniors

Chefs for Seniors has been a life saver for my parents. This service has made it possible for my parents to remain at home as cooking a meal has become difficult for them. Liz and Aaron consistently offer healthy, flavorful and fresh meals for my parents to enjoy and my mom has been able to maintain her weight. With the onset of the pandemic Liz flawlessly adjusted their procedure offering contactless meal delivery ensuring a safe continuation of their service. This is an excellent service for loved ones and has made a huge difference in keeping my parents independent at home.

My wife and I used Chefs for Seniors for a few months during the pandemic and loved the experience. Liz and Aaron were both super helpful and responsive, and very flexible and attentive. The two chefs that cooked for us were both fantastic, professional, and personalized/adjusted the food to our taste. Overall a fantastic and highly recommended service, and we would happily consider using them again in the future.

I cannot recommend Chefs for Seniors highly enough! Chefs for Seniors is a great company. My parents have been using the service for close to a year now, and love it! The food is delicious, and the owners, Liz and Aaron, are incredibly accommodating as well as friendly and professional. They have worked with my mom's dietary restrictions, offer a variety of meals that are good for specific diets if needed e.g. diabetic-friendly, renal-friendly, and are SO reasonably priced. They take Covid seriously, which gives my family peace of mind, knowing they are able to safely get delicious and nutritious food. It's a great service!!!

My husband and I used the Chefs for Seniors services during the pandemic while I was unable to cook for ourselves. The food was unfailingly delicious. The content well thought out and varied. Plenty of choices and just the right amount of food. Well prepared. We are sorry that they have decided to discontinue this home delivery service, but understand completly that their original business model is better for their business.

I don't think we could have gotten through the pandemic without Chefs for Seniors. I do not like to cook ... yet here we are. We had only planned to use Chefs for Seniors on occasion, but the food is so tasty and the service is so good that we have been using it most weeks. I appreciate that they are able to accommodate various diets for many selections, including my low carb diet. We are eating healthy, without me spending the afternoon in the kitchen.

This model mixes innovation with a passion to serve an important demographic. Really refreshing to see local entrepreneurs who are finding creative ways to bring to an underserved segment in need of a quality, fresh and balanced diet. It's unclear whether this will be a model of the future but experimentation merits our support since it could inspire other ideas. This population demands much more of our attention and care not least because they will be a substantial share of society and they could be our parents or grandparents.

Aaron and Liz are two if the most responsible people i know. Their customer experience is excellent and everything they do feels like you are with family. They are passionate about food and cooking and it truly shows in their work!

It was hard for me to eat because of treatment for throat cancer. Tempting meals from Chefs for Seniors DC have helped me gain back all the weight I lost and freed me up to do more things I enjoy. Kristie M.
