I have been banking with Chemical Bank for over 10 years. With the exception of a few fantastic people, over all the customer service is very disappointing. There are too many failures to list. The most recent is their fraud protection on debit cards. If there is an unusual purchase your card will get locked. This is a nice feature to protect your account....but Chemical Bank does not have 24 hour support that will allow you to approve the transaction. Because of there lack of customer care we wasted an 1.5 hours driving to a store shopping for an hour and we were not able to complete the transaction. After 10 years of disappointment we will no longer bank with a bank that can not keep up with the times and provide an acceptable level of customer service.
The tellers are very friendly, however there is a reason I do not have an account here only an auto loan, which is EXTREMELY difficult to pay. Their hours are very inconvenient for people who work 9-5. What kind of a bank closes at 4:30pm? Very happy that I bank with Huntington.
