The Cheney Public Library is open to all, offering a wide variety of services to the community. The library contains the newest best-sellers, fiction, non-fiction and favorite authors, as well as newspapers and magazines. A DVD library and an assortment of books on CD are also provided. The Cheney Public Library is part of the South Central Kansas Library System, allowing patrons to borrow materials from other libraries in Kansas.
A year-round children's program is offered including story hours, craft nights, and one of the state's most popular reading programs. With free internet access and WiFi, copier service and more, the Cheney Public Library is a full-service library offering the most to its patrons.
