Greetings! Welcome to my page. My name is Heather and I love old secondhand furniture transformations. For as long as I can remember I have loved to bring furniture and other items for the home back to life through paint, stain, mixed media techniques, and elbow grease.
At any given time you can find me stripping an antique dresser or table, while other times mixing paint to restyle another dresser for its second life. A piece of furniture does not need to be antique to deserve another life. Yes I love to bring them back to life, but garage sale bargains and curbside freebies can be transformed as well!
I am from a family many of DIYers. Each has a unique area of interest. While growing up in a large family my sister and I were challenged with a task. If we wanted to have a bedroom separate from the growing herd of younger siblings we would have to build it. We did it and I have held onto the lessons of DIY and thriftiness. At about the same age I was given a kit to build my very own real wood dresser. I was given free will to finish it as I please. The love of creating and transforming has stayed with me through the years. I am happy to say I still have and use that very dresser.
