Cherokee staff were incredibly kind, considerate and compassionate in helping us deal with the loss of my parents, whose remains we transported from out of state. They professionally explained and assisted with paperwork in advance of our arrival so we could be fully present emotionally during interment, which they completed competently and compassionately. Thank you Cherokee staff.

I wouldn’t choose this place for my father only because I know this is not his first choice. Other than that, this is a beautiful place. Nice facility and the staff are very courteous.
Saw on the news about the employee who stole the still born infants body from the freezer and shook her around and threw her in the trash! Absolutely horrific and disgusting and the fact someone could get away with that for two weeks. You report the body missing but the parents only know the details of what happened after the cops ask for the video evidence. For two weeks!? Just so sad for the family after already losing their baby. That person is sick, twisted, and evil and I hope they go to prison
I have never in all my life felt so horribly stuck and sad due the injustice of the way my mothers arraingments have been goin by such rude, careless, incompetent people working there. My mother had pre arraingments avery simple quick cremation small grave side service. She passed on the 6th we were told to come in 2 days a very stand offish non professional funeral director push ed a stick note saying we had to come up with more $. and he didnt have to provide us anything if we wanted service we pay. We have been ignored by all other staff with request for different director now today the same man is there handling my moms services. Also he put service all the way out to the 27th. Heartbreaking and unacceptable
Speaking as someone who works in a funeral home, how do you misplace the body of an infant!? This is crazy and heartbreaking for the child's parents and family. You don't even deserve the one star given. Your business is suppose to be a place where family's come to you about laying their loved ones to rest and this is how you treat them!? You definitely deserve to have a lawsuit against you and to be shut down indefinitely. Sending my support and condolences from Alabama to this precious souls family and may you get the justice that is much deserved.
I'm very disappointed with the staff at Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Lodi CA. I delivered a casket piece for a service and they completely neglected to take it from their flower room and place it on the casket for the service. What a waste of time and money, not to mention further grief that was caused while the family was already processing their loss. I've called for two days asking why this happened and have only been promised calls back, which haven't happened. Very thoughtless and careless Cherokee staff. I understand that our mutual client gave me the wrong location, however it was delivered Wednesday for a Thursday service and 24 hours is plenty of time that this could have been resolved. The service details and my business information were on the piece. Your staff could have A. Called me and explained that the service was at your second location less than a mile down the road and we would have immediately come and taken the piece to the correct chapel. Or B. Your staff goes back and fourth to both locations regularly throughout the day. Any one of them, after deciding a phone call was too difficult a task, could easily have taken the piece with them to the other chapel. In the end, our mutual client should have been your first concern, and allowing their flowers to sit in your flower room, aware that they had been delivered and ignoring the fact that the sender wouldn't have their flowers or any representation at their loved one's service was poor decision making on your part at best. It was extremely inconsiderate and a sad display of bad moral and business ethics. We work in an industry where we have such an emotional responsibility and your staff completely ignored that. Beyond unprofessional!!
They came out with a new flower rule and didn't let anyone know just put signs and they have already taken my things I have put for my love one 3 times and only claim they took them once. Because the other times they threw the stuff away for ease. Even one of their employees said they did take the stuff twice already and the others deny, only once. Even the person next to my family member has the same decorations and same height and hasn't had their things taken away so it seems like they are targeting me for no reason. Very bad experience here. Think TWICE before Buying from here. Definitely would not of bought here if I knew this before hand.
When my 4 month old son suddenly died of sids, we came to Cherokee Memorial. Funeral director, Bradley Webb, was more than helpful. He made this awfulness bearable. He was flexible with scheduling and helped us make decisions, he even spoke in place of a pastor for the service when I couldn't get one. The rest of the staff are very kind & helpful as well. If you've suffered a loss, come here. Their cemetery is peaceful and we'll kept. My son was cremated but we had his service there. In the Evergreen Chapel, it was lovely. Thank you to the staff of Cherokee Memorial for all of your help, especially Bradley. Losing a family member is never easy. The help & flexibility Cherokee Memorial offered made it bearable. I recommend them to anyone that's lost a loved one...
