Great work, it’s just sad to see that the whole police team is being treated horribly because of the Petit case when it was only 1 or 2 supervisors’ faults 15 years ago. The rating should definitely be above 2 stars.
I’m sorry but this police department dropped the ball with the Petit family. And the audacity of the Town Manager Michael Milone praising the police on a job well done and if it wasn’t for them this could’ve a far worse tragedy. Are you kidding me!!! This town police and fire department needs more training and Michael Milone needs his eyes check and needs to be fired. They make me sick to my stomach.
Cared more about catching the criminals than saving the victims in the Petit case. Sat outside for 30 minutes instead of going to stop the 2 criminals. Within those 30 precious minutes, THREE LIVES WERE TAKEN! THEY SAW YOUR CARS OUTSIDE, but you sat there and did nothing. Those present and working that day should feel ashamed and guilty. How does it feel that you couldn’t prevented the death of a mother and her two daughters? This tragedy will not be forgotten. And neither will the Cheshire Police Department’s neglect to the victims on July 23, 2007.
Horrible experience I had today with an officer from Cheshire, CT. He was so rude when asked me to move out my car. I had my car standing i front of Stop and shop while waiting for my husbad who ran quickly to buy something. I was far parked far from the main entrance. It was dark and even though i see a SUB car parked near my car I did not realize it was a police car. i noticed there was no one inside that car. Then suddenly someone touched my windown in an strong way, I look, there was this police officer who using a rude way told me “ move your car”. He looked at my in an angry way and it was very intimidating. I did not know why he asked me to love my car, if it was because I was parked in the fire lane? Or was it because I was parked in front of him..? I did not want to ask him, i just moved immediately my car. I might parked in the wring spot, or Maybe I could not be parked near his car. Whatever it is, i just get angry at these police officer who seems to enjoy to be offensive and rude to others. It is sad to witness this type of behaviors and abuse of power from professionals who are suppose to keep us safe.
My eyes are filled with tears over what happened to the Petit family. You heartless, lazy, incompetent bastards did NOTHING for more than THIRTY minutes while those girls and their mother were raped and strangled. How do you sleep at night?? The idiotic Chief of police told you dumb and heartless officers not to enter or make a move until he arrived on the scene, which led to additional time being wasted to save them. I would never want to live in your area. I bet you all move faster when it comes to donuts and coffee than you do to save lives. Such a pathetic excuse for police officers.
Just called 911 to report someone opening our door and then taking off when I called out. Turns out was a real estate agent at the wrong address. The responding officer had all the answers and was a great relief to my wife and I. A real gentleman and professional. I apologize I did not get his name, as he was great.
I had to call from Florida about a case that was 42 years old and Tracey in the records division went out of her way to get me the information right away. Cheshire you should be proud of the fine people you have working for you.
Jessica Wassil was a rude and offensive cop who seemed to not care who she hurt. She writes up inaccurate wellness check summary reports.
I also watched people magazine documentary and I am horrified by the Cheshire Police COWARDS that are paid to protect ciitizens. I hope they paid dearly financially and emotionally for their incompetent actions.
Officer Pixley was of amazing help. Although very professional he was not intimidating at all and made us feel safe as he took great interest in trying to resolve our issue.
