As someone who is genuinely afraid of dentist, I cannot recommend this practice enough. The best dentist I have ever been to. Dr.Mufson is genuine, kind, caring, professional, and does excellent work. He listened to my concerns and understood my fear, and for that I am forever thankful. If you’re in need of a new dentist, look no further.
Dr. Joe and Kristin are awesome. They are each very friendly, welcoming, caring, knowledgeable and skilled. I couldn’t ask for better care. The front desk staff are always very friendly and efficient as well.
Be prepared to pay money out of pocket, even if you have insurance. I work for a fortune 500 company, so my dental plan is good. I have been to several dental practices because I had to move several times, and this is the ONLY place where I would have to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket during a "routine dental cleaning" visit. Supposedly the dentist did a "comprehensive exam", which apparently no insurance would cover. Well, no other dental practice has ever needed to do this "comprehensive exam" on me, besides, why wasn't I told upfront that this would not be covered by insurance, or that this is something not typically done in a "routine dental cleaning" visit? They take the liberty to do whatever test they want, with zero consideration of insurance coverage or patient interest. Saved a lot of money since I switched.
Dont go because they ask me $400dollar for tooth extraction with insurance.I went other doctor with insurance only 100 dollar.very bad experience.And doctor didn't do nothing.He just checked and he told me think about it and come back. After two weeks they send me 400$ bill I dont know why?The bill shows emergency care but the doctor didn't treat me he just checked.
Extremely overpriced 2K for 2 fillings & a cleaning. Received this random bill months after apparent procedure right before the holidays. Previously paid over $800 for a later procedure & this inexplicable 2K bill was never mentioned to me then. Always ask for receipts here. Lesson learned.
When my child fell in school and lost his tooth I called the Chestnut Ridge Dental for an immediate appointment for him to be seen by a dentist. We had never used them in the past and were new patient. Dania was very patient, professional and willing to help. Scheduled an appointment for us in less than 2 hours. We were greeted by Lynn very pleasantly, and were seen by a Dr. G with a superb bedside manner, calm emergency management and gentle examination. I couldn’t be happier with any of the services. I was informed, my child was treated with respect to his feelings. Thank you all a bunch!
As always, I love to work with Karen and Dr. Chris Lota. Today, I was treated by Dr Guathier and found that she is a wonderful addition to this great team!

It is always a good experience when I visit Chestnut Dental. The hygienist, Sarah is so kind and gentle, I no longer dread having my teeth cleaned. Dr Chris Lota and his assistant, Karen are both knowledgeable and friendly. I have been a patient for many , many. All the sta stat are courteous and I never have to wait. Mary Ann
