We decided to stop for breakfast in North Carolina on our long drive to South Carolina. This restaurant had good reviews and listed close off I-95. At first glance, the place didn't look appealing, but we opened the door and was quickly greeted and seated at a table. The place is small and looks like they mainly cater to locals, but the southern hospitality was in full swing. Our waitress was so attentive, polite, and very friendly. All qualities that you don't find every day at similar restaurants that we've been to in Maryland. The food was good, but the sausage links and patties were a bit salty for me. They looked like they were made in-house as well as the biscuits. I liked the simple menu. It made choosing what to eat easy. It was great to have a real breakfast at a local stop with great service.
We really enjoyed having breakfast. The service was great. Very friendly and attractive. Very different from other places in town. More like a family gathering. Lunch menu looks fantastic also. Can't wait to get back and try Ithe lunch.Food: 4/5
When in Rocky Mount this is the place for breakfast. Quick, hot, cooked perfectly and never waited for a refill. Friendly staff. Local owned always so much better than chains. Skip the cracker barrels and ihops and come here !
Not much to look at but pretty darn good food. Fast and friendly service. Prices were in range with other diners we've been to. We will definitely be coming back.Food: 4/5
I stopped in north carolina from Virginia to take my daughter to a hair appt. How convenient that this spot was right down the way so I gave it a try. The food was good, a had a breakfast bowl. Sweet tea. The bowl was the perfect size for me cause I can’t eat no big plates . Try it , good prices , great service.Food: 5/5
Chew N Chat is the heartbeat of Rocky Mount when it comes to good food and a welcoming staff. Had breakfast yesterday and must say that I was so impressed with everything. The food was hot and delicious, never had to wait for a refill it was truly one of the best dining experiences that I've had in quite some time. Ask for Jennifer when you stop in, she has been there for years and is genuinely one of the nicest individuals that you would ever want to meet. Take my advice and visit this amazing eatery, you will not be disappointed.
Love the Chew N Chat. Down home cooking. Their shrimp & flounder are excellent!! Great breakfast & delicious desserts to. Good selection of "to-go" items to enjoy at home as well.Food: 5/5
Simple good food. Great brunch. Not fancy, but delicious and that’s what matters.
Good piece of flounder and outstanding "flatbread". Super nice folks. Only negative is small and hidden but worth finding.
This was our First visit here. I had read reviews and they were amazing. So, we stopped for lunch. We moved here to Rocky Mount almost 8 months ago and are still learning what's here. Our Waitress was "TAMMY". She's just Wonderful We spoke with some other people at the next table. Such Beautiful and Helpful people. We ordered our Food. Totally, worth the wait! We even made NEW FRIENDS here. This place is a "MUST" stop and Eat! One of the BEST places here!! Thanks
