St.Luke's Hospital committed heinous crimes against me while being admitted for an appendectomy last August. I was forced against my will to under go a PCR test in which I denied multiple times due to having a cleft pallet and deviated septum which required numerous surgeries to correct. They advised me they would allow me to die and not operate if I refused the test although I had no symptoms of illness other than an infected appendix. They then advised they would put me on a covid positive floor in which could cause additional illness or death. They administered the test as my appendix was close to exploding. The test was improperly administered, caused a nose bleed, eye sight damage in my left eye, and has caused severe ongoing pain/pressure in my nose, nasal cavity, left eye, and severe headaches. I also am woken up at night with what feels like something moving in my nose and extreme pressure in my nasal cavity, and extreme ear popping. This has also ruined my ability to affectively work and run my financial business. I attempted to resolve the issue directly with St.Luke's numerous times, but their staff and administration refused to respond to me. I finally sent a notarized and certified letter to negotiate a settlement due to massive financial loss and the malpractice and human's rights violations they committed. St.Luke's involved their attorney's "Scott Patton" law firm. They denied any settlement claiming immunity under the fraudulent Covid protocols. Never go to this hospital! They will violate your human rights and force you to undergo unwanted experimentation and treatments. I am now initiating an attorney and will be filing civil claims and individual criminal complaints on nurses and doctors involved. I have several media outlets lined up for interviews as well. Keep an eye on the news! We will be openly exposing St.Luke's criminal activites!
The facility it self was great and modern. However the staff that I had seem to want me out of there fast. Even though I was in extreme pain I was rush to get in a wheelchair and be on my way. I understand emergency rooms need the space but if someone is in extreme pain well maybe they just need more time and care. I will add that the doctor that saw me was good. The service was fast and it did not feel like your typical 5+ hours of waiting in an emergency room. So that’s a plus.
I went in with severe pain in my upper left side, triaged and sat in a packed waiting room. They called me to draw blood and an X-ray, then returned to the waiting room. Almost 5 hours later, the doctor said I should be admitted for more test, after all, he said I did have an aging heart. I am 68, so go figure. They admitted me for all the doctors to say, everything looks good. What a joke. I still am having the pain, to which I have an appointment with a spine doctor. I am sure you really didn’t want my opinion.
I came to St. Luke’s to deliver my first baby and the nurses were truly amazing! The real “fun” came when I received my bill from the hospital and noticed a few charges for services I never received! I had a C-section, in which, they charged my insurance for the “labor & delivery room/ operating room” but they also charged me for a “private labor & delivery room”, 2 of which were different fees, and a charge for a “recovery room.” I am fully aware that I am responsible for the operating room charges, and for the SAME room I was staying in for 3 days. What baffles me is when I called to dispute the charges, I was told that once I left the operating room and was wheeled back to my ORIGINAL room, the room now becomes a “recovery” room and the charges on my statement are correct. So are you telling me I am being charged 2 different fees for ONE room, on ONE day, based on what stage of labor/delivery I was in at the time?…… make it make sense? Please pay attention to your billing statements and charges they are trying to sneak in!!!
ER doc and nurse were polite. I came in via ambulance with complaint of heart problems and was left in a room by myself, and left unhooked from monitors even after the doctor came in to talk to/assess me. Blood pressure cuff was not put on correctly so my readings were artificially high as well. Once I explained I have a history of anxiety I was completely dismissed and then over-medicated with Ativan which causes rebound anxiety. My EKG wasn’t read by a cardiologist for 24 hours got notified the next day at home. As a nurse I understand that I was not emergent, however, dismissing any patient due to their history of mental health struggles is not helpful or ethical. Registration rep was rude and rather hateful as though I was bothering her.
Every time I've presented to St Luke's Hospital in the Woodlands completely desperate with nowhere else to turn they've always treated me with such genuine concern and loving kindness. I tried to leave early from the ER and not be admitted because of my finances but they said I was just to sick to leave. So I stayed because of them. By my staying they saved my diabetic right toe/leg and I'm not an amputee because of them. I love St Luke's and their staff are awesome people. God bless them.
It's an amazing hospital.. I'm back again but this time it's real bad. They put me on a liquid diet and so now I'm so sick bc I have a fluid restriction and should have instead been on a heart healthy diet. I have congestive heart failure and severe pulmonary hypertension and am only suppose to have 1 1/2 lt a day. The floor doctor or hospitalist says cardiology came this morning but nurse said they did not. I really need to talk to a cardiologist bc I'm so swollen I look pregnant and it hurts to breathe. They gave me 3 different pregnancy test even though I'm on a depo shot and have done nothing recently that would cause me to be pregnant. I'm so uncomfortable and can barely get up or breathe. I don't know what to do or who to talk to about this. The Dr seemed to be more focused on my past issues then to treat my current problem with severe swelling which is very dangerous. It hurts so bad to breathe please someone tell me what I can do or who I can speak with on this matter
I arrived by ambulance and was immediately taken into a very small room likely due to the nature of my illness. I give 1 stars for something completely unrelated to the care I received. The doctor seemed very cold and unbothered with the desperation I displayed. I expressed how badly I felt. How I was sure something was wrong and I was told well the testing says you’re fine. Wrong of course. The doctor ordered a medication I had never heard of after seeing me. I asked the nurse what it was and she said “it’s a sedative, I think you’ll like it” I told the nurse I didn’t want or need a sedative and before I could say it firmly a second time, she was inserting it into my IV. I have been experiencing extreme symptoms since that medication was given. She also made rude comments about my opioid use that I receive as chronic pain patient . I expect someone to reach out and get a hold of me asap. I’d like to talk about what WILL be done to rectify the misery and lack of empathy I was shown. Much more the severe side effects of a chemical restraint being used on a non-violent, sickly woman who was in tears begging for help!
I just left this hospital. Went in complaining about intestinal gas. I told them that I had been to an Emergency clinic this morning and they took an X-ray and said it was normal. In triage, they put me on an EKG machine but said everything was fine. They tell me they need to called me back an hour later to take blood. I revised because I didn't need any blood work. Called me back to a room 30 mins later to tell me because I refused blood work they would not give me an ultrasound of my stomach. The tech came in for the ultrasound and the doctor came in and told her she had cancelled it. They wanted to give me pain and gas meds via injection and I refused. I told them that pal would be fine. They refused to help me because I wouldn't give blood. I will never return. This is My second bag experience with this hospital. The waiting room ER staff was amazing.
I went to the Huntsville location after a fall. Even with x-rays, I was in and out in a little over an hour. The staff was friendly and efficient. The facility was clean. The only negative was that I felt is while my visit was quicker than most trips to an ER, the Dr didn't spend as much time listening to my concerns as I would have liked. Overall, a great place with quality care.
