Chiampa Funeral Home is the only funeral home I’ve been to that doesn’t have that unfortunate “funeral home” feel. It’s a classically beautiful and comforting space. Aside from the space, the service is incredible, such as the staging, which fills the space with little touches of your loved one’s interests and hobbies. If someone didn’t know the person well, they will know them by the time they walk through the space. The option to have live grand piano music played throughout the service and visitation is also another incredibly comforting touch. Chiampa’s hosted both of our grandparents services and beyond exceeded expectations.

My dad passed away in July 2017. At a time of grief and confusion you want a steady hand to guide you through a wake and funeral. Dave Chiampa, the Funeral Director at the Chiampa Funeral Home, is that man. He provided my family with guidance and comfort in a time of sadness. Sumner House, a historic house in Shrewsbury, has been lovingly restored. It doesn't feel like a funeral home with that typically cramped room where mourners normally gather. It it a large house with many rooms. Dave sets up displays of photos and objects meaningful to a loved one's life. In addition, Dave will create a tribute video of your loved one's life. In my dad's case, he was a lifelong fan of the Red Sox and enjoyed Cape Cod. In addition to my dad's memorabilia, Dave added many objects from his own collections to ensure a great presentation for my dad. It's that attention to detail that makes Chiampa Funeral Home a special place. You feel like you are truly celebrating someone's life.

Jim was terrific, compassionate professional and the job they did blew me away during such a tragic sorrowful event was amazing. I was worried about the outside construction and it was all about what they set -up on the inside that they really paid tribute to my daughter.Kind of like life in general
