Don’t do it. Horrible place rude owner. Changing room/ restroom, needs a very deep clean. You can smell the musty smell as soon as you enter the facility. Definitely need to take precautions to not catch Ringworm or a Staph infection. Equipment out dated. Seats ripped up. Some items are secured with duct tape. Equipment missing piece. As for Treadmills some work sometimes. Definitely do a walkthrough of the whole facility before you commit because they will not cancel contracts no matter what life circumstances are present.
This gym is horrible, even after your contract is over they'll keep charge you. Save yourself the trouble and go to planet fitness.
This place is one of the most equipped gyms I've been to ever and I have been to many. Many machines and cardio equipment available. It is hands down a great place to get in zone and no waiting for people to get off your favorite machine people get it done and mind your space definitely my sanctuary and they have kid care which I love being a mom of two young ones that actually look forward to going to the gym with me.
Don't join! Unfriendly atmosphere especially if you have no gym knowledge. For $350 should have been at least 4 complimentary visits to get knowledge of the machines and general. Then they bill through a third party and once they get your information it is nearly impossible to cancel your membership and stop payments. Not only that, a copy of this billing agreement was never provided upon initial sign up. Very sketchy business. Wouldn't post this information without one star chosen. Update: ABC Financial still harassing for payment. Completely poor customer service, legal help on the way.
Staff always helpful and respectful. For a local gym better equipment than some mainstream gyms
You definitely get what you pay for. Very outdated. Many times when I went there the treadmills would just randomly stop working on me. I also was not finished with my workout one time and the worker told me that it was 5 minutes until 9:00 and that I had to leave within the next 5 minutes. When I was almost done with the elliptical 3 minutes before I hit my 5 mile mark she literally came up to me at 9:00 saying "sorry you must go." Yet, when you try to cancel my membership, you have to snail mail a letter to ABC financial...you can't just cancel.
My son and I were visiting family in Hobart and we had a few spare moments so, we thought we would get a workout in. We have been thinking about moving back to Hobart and decided to try out some gyms and if it works out - we could have one picked out before the move. So, we go to Chicago Fitness and fill out the forms and we are making small talk with the staff and she tells me it will be $9 each. I am reaching for my wallet and I make the comment that in Colorado - they give you a weeks pass hoping to earn your business - by the way, I know have a $20 in my hand ready to hand it to her - she tells me that it is not a free facility.I respond with: I can give you $18 today for us to workout or you can earn two new members remember - I have a 20 in my hand and am now extending to her - her response - "So be it." Idiot - I will never join this gym should I return and will dissuade any I can from ever joining.
It’s dirty nothing ever works. The urinals don’t flush. Do like everybody else and go to the YMCA or planet fitness.
Came here when they closed my regular gym of 4 years. Best thing my old gym ever did for me. I LOVE this place Mario runs a good unit..nice folks quality supplements in a gym like atmoshere not some ritzy ditzy social club. Folks come here to unwind, work out or knock off and lose some stress..whatever you need cardio, strength training and a kids room fresh made tasty smooties in a non-judgmental place with members and staff alike who will actually stop and answer your questions and offer help or guidance. Young and old male or female. Yup 5 stars
