TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE TO BE SEEN!!! This place is BY FAR THE MOST ORGANIZED, POLITE HELPFUL HEALTHCARE PLACE TO GO TO IN ALL OF GA IMO We walked in and it was pretty full, but the receptionist was VERY polite and pleasant and let us know it would be an hour to hour and a half wait time and we were like cool. They moved us through pretty quickly and I'm thinking it's because my daughter had an injury instead of an illness and they didn't want her in there for very long so she wouldn't catch anything. But in any case, EVERYONE we encountered there was so cool that we weren't stressing about our daughter's injury-it took our minds off of everything. This will DEFINITELY be our go to place when our daughter needs help again. A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE DOCTORS AND STAFF HERE FOR PROVIDING US WITH A GREAT EXPERIENCE IN TREATING OUR PRINCESS
I'm new to Georgia. Was hesitant to come here because of all of the negative reviews. I called before I went and the lady told me they close the doors at 7pm if they were really busy. I got there around 6:45p. She said it's about 5hrs right now. Young lady was polite and didn't seem rude at all. She also let me know that if I came back in the a.m. people are lined up so try to get there early. I left and tried for the morning. Got there around 10:20a. Didn't realize I had to pull a number. I actually like that. Glad I saw someone else grab one or I'd be waaayy down the line. My son is autistic and hasn't been on his meds in a week due to vomiting. They were very patient & caring even with his slow resistance. ALL OF THE STAFF I ENCOUNTERED FROM CHECK IN TO THE DR. WAS NICE & PLEASANT. Even with all of the chaos, they were very organized to me. EVERYWHERE HAS A LONG WAIT TIME RIGHT NOW. I went to the Hospital waited 2hrs before I got to triage and people around me were already there for over 12hrs! So yes the 4hrs I waited was great to me! I am actually looking forward to changing my kids physician so they can be apart of this community. Just as I do with movie reviews, CHECK OUT THINGS FOR YOURSELF. Thanks ladies. Y'all are awesome! Keep up the great work during this crazy time!
My experience was amazing under the circumstances. This is my go to place when my children's doctor office is closed or they are not able to be seen the same day. I will highly recommend this urgent care to my family and friends. The staff are very patient and kind. I walk in having anxiety about my childrens health condition but walk out feeling relieved that they will be back to their normal healthy self. I'm truly grateful for everything that the staff, doctors, nurses, and everyone else high level of care that they provide for my childrens
Came here because it is close to my home and my kid was really sick. Arrived at 12:30 and was giving an 4 hour wait time. I stayed because my kid is sick. So we waited the 4 hours. I noticed the people in the waiting area who came after us are now getting called to be placed in rooms. When I asked the lady at the desk can she check to see where my kid was on the list. She looked at me and told me "Do you see all of these other ppl I the waiting area they waiting too". I said yes, but we have been here since 12:30pm and it's now 5:30. She stated " No I have other things to do and you can talk to the supervisor". I was so confuses because she is the one who checks everybody in the urgent care center. She was rude and her body language as awful. The supervisor walked up speaking to another parent because of the rude lady. I asked the same question. Not only did she apologize for the lady being rude but, found out that my kid was next. The receptionist needs to retake customer service training.. But doctor Housley Is awesome.
My husband brought my daughter in Monday, October 17 where she was diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection. The doctor who treated her didn't provide her with a prescription for antibiotics to treat the infection; she was only prescribed an allergy medicine. What is allergy medicine going to do for an Upper Respiratory Infection? Nothing. Here she is 3 days later and still miserable. I call to request antibiotics and I'm told she has to come back in to receive a prescription that you should've given her Monday! I am livid. I sure hate her doctor went on vacation this week. We will not return to this horrible establishment! If you want your child treated, send him or her elsewhere!
The worst experience EVER! My daughter had a temp of 100.9 we arrived at 6. Did not get seen by a dr until 7:45 only to be told that because they were closing we would not get Covid/flu results until tomorrow after 12 pm. Left with no treatment plan and an excuse that violated HIPPA laws. Dr. Youngblood was rude and extremely unprofessional and seemed more concerned about going home then treating my daughter properly.
My daughter took her yr old son there because of a cough and fever. The staff was rude and insensitive and treated my grandchild like he was not even human. They drew blood and then decided to do a covid test, well, instead of using his blood or saliva, they decided on using a catheter to get a urine sample. The baby screamed in excruciating pain as they shoved and shoved this catheter in him to no avail. The diagnosis was the flu. They did not want to give him tamaflu or whatever the medicine is that reduces the time of having the flu and since he left the clinic he screams in excruciating pain every time he has to urinate. We called to get advice on what to do and the brushed us off telling us if he’s in that much pain give him Tylenol or take him to the emergency room.
Don’t even bother taking your child here. All CHOA’s are not the same. The reoccurring theme on this side of town is these medical facilities are inundated with patients. Some facilities will double down and become better and implement ways to still offer exceptional care but other places will resent you for coming in to seek care, treat you like a number, rush you, and don’t complete a proper examination all while having a God complex. This will be my second time having to seek proper care literally the next day after bringing my sick child here.
Dr.Sansui barely looked at my daughter. Our regular Dr. Was closed due to the holidays ! She didn’t write either of the prescriptions she gave her correctly. She is 4 and wrote a prescription for tablets, how the hell is my four year old going to swallow tablets. Also the second prescription had no dosages on it, so of course pharmacy can’t fill it. I sat on on hold for over an hour to get it correct , never got a hold of anyone, so it’s still not correct. I’m an ER nurse, I never tell doctors that but she totally ignored every one of my concerns totally blew us off. I’m used to doctors acting that way but it’s negligible and dangerous!!!!
The wait time at this place is worst than a third world country. They don't allow any food or you to leave so the children sit starving and miserable for HOURS! Expect to sit four hours for triage and another 2-3 hours to get into a room. If you didn't have a virus before you got here you can bet you will have one after sitting 6-7 hours in the waiting room petri dish. What a horrible way to service sick children.
