China Buffet

We ate here tonight and I’m not sure how to rate it yet. The appearance of the inside interior definitely needs an update. It is very old and worn out. We came about 6:00 PM and there were only about three other tables in the restaurant. A lot of the food on the buffet had been sitting for a little while, you could see the top layers of some dishes solidifying. A lot of the dishes that had sauce looked very greasy, you could see the grease in the sauce. I started off with chow mei fun which I normally love at other restaurants and it had a strange spice to it, I did not like it. I also tasted the pork fried rice with some cashew chicken, the chicken tasted bad to me and I did not finish it. The pork egg roll was okay. I was not sure if I wanted to get a second plate but I went back up. They were refilling some of the dishes with new food so this time I got some Hong Kong Chicken which was really good and some stuffed mushrooms which were also very good and a veggie spring roll which was good. Third time I tried some crab bake was good and the Crab Rangoon they looked under cooked but the flavor was good. At one point I tried the wonton soup not a fan and the fried dumping it was okay. I’m trying to decide if I would like to give the restaurant a second chance. If I would go again I would definitely go during a peak time of the day to ensure that I get all fresh food to create a better opinion.

food was hot and fresh. Tad greasy. However, the egg rolls are awesome good sign, and the lo mein was great.Food: 4/5

The building and furniture need serious updating. The food is good, except for the Friday night crab legs. Great sushi. Lunch is a better value at $3 less than dinnerFood: 4/5

Fantastic buffet for a great price. Tons of delicious options. I've tried buffets in other parts of the country and this one is my favorite. Way better than pizza ranch down the road. Most of the people who are whining in these reviews are brats. It may not be a 5 star restaurant, but show me another place in Manitowoc you can get this variety of food for this good of a price.

This was the worst food exsperiance ive had yet,for chinese or any resteraunt. They couldnt even aford sticks for chicken on a stick.they had food misslabled. The food was flavorless i had one eggroll with some flavor the next had none. The only thing that impressed me at all was the cottage cheese was monstr curds bigger than i ever seen. I filled up on it cause i already sat down.and got plates. The people there must have extremly low standards cause i dont see how they have any business. For 16.25 a person at that!!!i coulda got steak or for that,or panda exspress 1000% better on a bad day than this place. The lady couldnt understand water with lemon. It was uncomfortably hot . Hotter than outside. I got full but was very unsatisfied. I almost walked out without paying it was that bad!!! I dont eat mcdonalds but i woulda rather ate that. go to the dragon in plymoth next to walmart if you want truely flavorful food. Cheeper better atmosphere. Wwhen i imagine chinese resteraunts getting shut down for using cat i now think of hong kong buffet.i would give no stars .i will never even look at this resterauntand again.

The place was outdated, the food was not even warm and nothing was labeled correctly as I ate a scallop that was labeled a cheese nugget. When they asked how it was we all said horrible and the lady said " well then it's just you because I keep picking up empty plates!" Very rudeFood: 1/5

Food OK, restaurant well, extreme dirty. The service needs a ot to be desired. Kinda rude. Thinking about calling the department of health to find out their past records. Seriously you should judge for yourself

Food selection was pretty typical for what you would expect at a buffet. General Pso's chicken was good as well as the rice. Dinner was priced at around $15. If you like Asian Buffet's you'll like this one.Food: 4/5

The food is good, clean restaurant. They surely do have a large selection of food. The price is not bad. One person with a drink, it was $10 and some change on a week day for lunch.

While the food is fresh and good quality, the place is old, dumpy and junky. Not going back.Food: 3/5
