The CUIS embraces innovation and diversity. It aims to create a bridge between the JHU community and global leaders. It is held at JHU from Apr 12-14,2019.
The China-US Innovation Summit at JHU works relentlessly on building meaningful connections between the Johns Hopkins community and the professionals across various fields. Through the CUIS, we hope to encourage intellectuals to exchange ideas on globally challenging topics and provide better insights into the industries to students. The CUIS will also offer a unique and invaluable experience for participants to initiate meaningful communications and address their curiosity and questions for the professionals.
The 2019 summit consists of four sections: the Keynote Speech, the Panel Discussions, the Pitch Competition, and the Job Fair. Professionals and scholars from the US and China are invited to discuss and give speeches on the six panel topics including Drug Research and Development, Innovative Medical Devices, Natural Language and Speech Processing, Commercial AI, Entrepreneurship and Investment, and the US-China Relations. Notable speakers including the CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine and the Dean of the Medical Faculty in the JHU School of Medicine of Medicine Dr. Paul Rothman, the Chief Political Correspondent, News Anchor for CGTN English and CCTV Mandarin Mr. Wang Guan, and the Chairman of Dataway Horizon Dr. Victor Yuan.
In addition to meaningful conversations and sharp insights into industries, the CUIS also offers job-seeking students and participants chances to advance their careers. At the Pitch Competition, start-ups gain opportunities to present their innovative ideas and products the top American and Chinese venture capital firms and build partnerships. Finally, the Job Fair helps companies to connect and recruit talented youths at Hopkins and among the participants.
