CHKD Thrift Stores

First time being at a CHKD thrift store, and maybe I picked the wrong location to go to? The store is not at all organized. Even when the sign says the section is for kids, there's women's and men's stuff mixed in it. You would have to go through literally the whole rack and look for the correct items for that section, then try to locate the size which is not always there. I also don't know how I feel about underwear out of packages being sold? Idk if they new, or used? Kitchen items can be found all over the place and shoes don't go in order by size either, and you may not find the other pair if they are not together. We did find a couple items, but I feel like the prices could be better for others I've seen attached. We were not greeted and the cashier did not seem to want to be at work, either. There are no dressing rooms, nor bathrooms. I think we will stay with Goodwill.

Please fix the air conditioning! My baby was starting to sweat so bad I had to cut our time short. I can't imagine what the workers have to go through being in that kind of heat all day. Trust me, it's a liability.

I had a really great time finding some much needed pants because I barely found any on clearance at Walmart last month and the pair I found there was too big for me. Found many great choices plus a radio for $9 that works perfectly and a copy of Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi that plays beautifully. Got more out of the money I spent there than what I got at Walmart for a little over what I paid today at CHKD. Will definitely shop back in the future since I haven't been in one of their thrift store locations in years until today.

This place is ok it's a hit and miss kinda spot.Last time I went the staff was rude and didn't want to assist me on a price check they rather talk so I sat the items down and left and haven't return since. I honestly have found some great items in this store in the past

The cashier messed up our purchase and charge us an extra seven dollars. Our first receipt on the right was only $101. The second receipt on the left was made after the cashier realize the numbers on the computer weren’t adding up and the new total is $107 because of a $6.99 item we didn’t get. A lady on the phone made it out like we were at fault. We don’t mind donating to charity, but no organization should be able to scam people even if it’s just seven dollars. Either refund us the seven dollars or give us some type of credit. Or really anything other than a reply that’s to the effect of “too bad, I can’t do anything about that, good bye.”

Best prices for a thrift store. This is my favorite thrift store to shop at because of the atmosphere. When ever I need help, most of the staff is very helpful. The manager Gina is always very bubbly and makes all people that encounters her leave with a smile. I find myself going in on a regular bases now. Thanks for all the positivity and pleasant experiences Gina!

Thanks for being such a caring Store and not letting my four year old use the bathroom He wet his pants and had to sit in for a long ride home not COVID related Because no one was wairing masks Just a mean lady Other chkd stores let him use the bathroom you got to be a great person to deny a little boy of using that bathroom We did not even make it to out of there before he wet his pants

Since COVID-19 I have not been to any thrift stores. I am doing a DIY vanity and I needed a chair, faux fur throw or rug, and a vanity mirror. I had no plans on us going to a thrift store. But while we were out we stopped in. I found everything I was looking for in like 30 minutes. I was shocked! The chair looks new and was $20.00, the vanity mirror was $2.98, vase for .98 cents, the faux fur rug from Target was only $4.99, and the HSN Joy Mangano steamer for $1.98. For now they do have a policy NO RETURNS! So I was very hesitant with two things that might not work. They were nice when I asked could they add water to the steamer to let me see if it works. My HKitty vanity mirror as soon as I put batteries in it, it worked after I bought batteries could not test in store. I was glad by mistake it was placed with the children's toys. At the bottom it says not a toy for children but for adults. But glad I found it! Super happy with our experience here and what I found! I came out for my DIY vanity project spending only $31. The location is great and I feel safe when there. They were clean, made announcements about staying 6ft apart, and organized. They were friendly and that is always a plus!

Nice Second Hand Shop. Clean organized helpful staff. Ample parking space handicap accessible. Lots of knick knacks, glassware, kitchen gadgets, quite a few games. Staff said they turn over merchandise very quickly. A good cause for the King's Daughters Hospital.
