CHKD Thrift Stores

I have been going to this store for a good while--I loved it there cause I had good experience with the YOUNG sales associates and I do find some good deals there. My last visit was the worst experience when I got charged 22 items and brought home only 20 items, thought when I paid it didn't sound right, so I got my calculator and added the items, my calculation was different from what I got charged. So...I called and the associate I spoke with her name was Cheryl- said I will need to bring all the items back so they could look through them. So of course I packed everything and took it back. As I proceed to the store to asked for the Manager, another couple was ahead of me. As I listened to her speaking to the elderly couple, I already knew she was being very RUDE to the customer! Her name is STEPHANIE- and I believed she had NO RIGHT to speak and argue with her customers. As a manager, you don't ever show unprofessionalism if you are dealing with a customers. Surely, I had a BAD experience with her, just even before I could explain to her why some of the items had no price on them cause my granddaughter wanted to play with her toys so I had wiped down the marked price, she was rude in just saying "I am not going to take your word, I just have to see for ourselves" in a very RUDE tone of voice. I just told her she was very RUDE and she didn't have to be rude!!! so then the conversation got to the point where I could not stand to let this person talk to me this way. I just said never mind, and grabbed my receipts, and items and told her I was not going to put up with her and that I will just DONATE the $9.96 that they overcharged me. As I walked out of the store, the other couple was still out at the parking lot, and we had discussed HOW THAT MANAGER -STEPHANIE was so RUDE TO US.!!!! I DON'T THINK I WILL EVER DONATE NOR GO TO THAT STORE ANYMORE.....

First time being at a CHKD thrift store, and maybe I picked the wrong location to go to? The store is not at all organized. Even when the sign says the section is for kids, there's women's and men's stuff mixed in it. You would have to go through literally the whole rack and look for the correct items for that section, then try to locate the size which is not always there. I also don't know how I feel about underwear out of packages being sold? Idk if they new, or used? Kitchen items can be found all over the place and shoes don't go in order by size either, and you may not find the other pair if they are not together. We did find a couple items, but I feel like the prices could be better for others I've seen attached. We were not greeted and the cashier did not seem to want to be at work, either. There are no dressing rooms, nor bathrooms. I think we will stay with Goodwill.

The manger an process manager going straight to hell with gasoline drawers on the manger said no talking and more work reap what y'all sow the manger should do more work and less smoking come out that office and do some work whatever they had at thrift store I could've bought I don't steal BLESSED!!

Please fix the air conditioning! My baby was starting to sweat so bad I had to cut our time short. I can't imagine what the workers have to go through being in that kind of heat all day. Trust me, it's a liability.

I've had a few good finds here, but it hit or miss. 4 stars because they are friendly!

I had a really great time finding some much needed pants because I barely found any on clearance at Walmart last month and the pair I found there was too big for me. Found many great choices plus a radio for $9 that works perfectly and a copy of Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi that plays beautifully. Got more out of the money I spent there than what I got at Walmart for a little over what I paid today at CHKD. Will definitely shop back in the future since I haven't been in one of their thrift store locations in years until today.

This place is ok it's a hit and miss kinda spot.Last time I went the staff was rude and didn't want to assist me on a price check they rather talk so I sat the items down and left and haven't return since. I honestly have found some great items in this store in the past

The cashier messed up our purchase and charge us an extra seven dollars. Our first receipt on the right was only $101. The second receipt on the left was made after the cashier realize the numbers on the computer weren’t adding up and the new total is $107 because of a $6.99 item we didn’t get. A lady on the phone made it out like we were at fault. We don’t mind donating to charity, but no organization should be able to scam people even if it’s just seven dollars. Either refund us the seven dollars or give us some type of credit. Or really anything other than a reply that’s to the effect of “too bad, I can’t do anything about that, good bye.”

Best prices for a thrift store. This is my favorite thrift store to shop at because of the atmosphere. When ever I need help, most of the staff is very helpful. The manager Gina is always very bubbly and makes all people that encounters her leave with a smile. I find myself going in on a regular bases now. Thanks for all the positivity and pleasant experiences Gina!

Thanks for being such a caring Store and not letting my four year old use the bathroom He wet his pants and had to sit in for a long ride home not COVID related Because no one was wairing masks Just a mean lady Other chkd stores let him use the bathroom you got to be a great person to deny a little boy of using that bathroom We did not even make it to out of there before he wet his pants
