We have been super happy with CHOP primary care Souderton. We see Dr. Richard’s- Rowley for my daughter’s well visits. She takes her time to answer all of our questions and is very knowledgeable and caring. I never feel rushed and she always answers all my questions as a new mom. We have seen 2 other doctors for sick visits and they have all been wonderful. The doctors, nurses, and front desk staff are all nice and welcoming. I’d recommend CHOP souderton to my family and friends!
I really like this office. I’ve been taking my children here for over 5 years. The whole staff are kind and compassionate.
Really love the new and updated office. The old place really needed updating, probably actually a whole new building! And they did just that. I have 6 kids and we’ve been chop Indian valley patients for 14 years now. The only thing I HATE is that you can never just call and get an appointment. You ALWAYS have to speak to a nurse and they decide whether you are seen there, not at all or you go to the clinic. Which that last part I think is awful… basically saying you aren’t sick/urgent enough to be seen by us or we have no appointments to accommodate you so you have to go see another facility and doctors that do not know your child. Perhaps they shouldn’t take on such a high caseload of patients to where they cannot accommodate the infrequent sick visits of their patients.
At first my wife and I were very pleased when they were originally at Indian Valley. There were only a small number of doctors and we felt comfortable with a relatively good relationship with the doctors. Once they moved our experience has gone down hill. We have never once seen the same doctor it’s a new person every time which makes us uncomfortable since there is no relationship. Furthermore, our son went in for COVID-19 test in November 2021. Later we received a bill from Quest for $900. After months of back and forth we finally found that the doctor at Chop sent the wrong medical code to quest. Chop claimed it was being taken care of however 4 months later we received another bill from Quest. When I called Chop back they had no recollection of over discussing the issue with my wife and I. Once again they said it would be taken care of, we are still waiting to see how this place out. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of a nurse for advise and god forbid you miss their call you’re stuck waiting on hold for hours. My son has been sick a few times and trying to schedule same day appointments is like pulling teeth. They always recommend going through the app which is useless or taking them to Urgent Care where you can count in waiting for hours with other sick kids. I would not recommend this doctor at all. If you value having a strong relationships between your family doctor and children this is not your place.
How can you seriously say "We aim to provide excellent care and service to all our patient families."?!??! I have never been able to make a sick appointment at this location and today I have been on hold for now 80 minutes. Absolutely insane and terrible. If you cannot use the primary care dr when you are sick then what is the point? I am so disappointed in this practice and after today will need to leave this practice. Wish I could give it 0 starts.
Dr. Kathleen Filograna is absolutely amazing!! My 3 year old adores her. She is kind, thorough and truly listens to all of my concerns. HIGHLY RECCOMEND !! Her nurse Irene is also super friendly and professional! I have never had a bad experience with this office :
Dr. Farrell has been a wonderful doctor to my children since we joined this practice in 2016. She is so patient, kind and takes the time to explain information throughly. I have called into the CHOP nurses line on several occasions and they have always been very responsive and helpful. I really appreciate Dr. Farrell and all of the CHOP network resources.
Mixed experience some of the doctors are fantastic such as Dr Hoffman. Dr Santos was rude and not supportive of breastfeeding. The office staff is inconsistent and made multiple mistakes that cost me time and energy over the 2 years we received care here. I am moving and thrilled to be done with this pediatric office.
The doctors are great, but I am constantly getting told to take my son to urgent care and can never get seen for a sick appointment. I do not like taking my son to an urgent care with random people who do not know my son at all. I am not sure what the point of even having a pediatrician is for if I am just going to get told to take him to urgent care over and over. It takes forever to get ahold of anyone at the office and when someone finally calls back they make you feel like you are a burden and taking up their time. I understand that people are short staffed, but to get turned away constantly is ridiculous. I went to this office as a kid and I thought it would be a great fit for my son. I unfortunately will be taking him to a different pediatrician soon.
I think the physicians and nurses are great. With that being said, the process for scheduling an appointment is frustrating and inconvenient. You first talk to a receptionist, they relay the concern to the nurse, you wait A LONG TIME I've literally waited hours to receive a call back, and by that time they have no appointments. It completely disrupts your ability to plan your day.
