The acronym stands for Musculoskeletal Performance Orthopaedic Wellness and Rehabiliatation. This is a surgical practice that realizes surgery is your last, not first option. Our goal is to provide you with the resources you need, whether they be through physical therapy, athletic training, alternative medicine, or surgery, to empower you to get back into your game. Our best ally in the accomplishment of this is you as an individual, a patient, and a consumer.
I have practiced in North County for over 12 years emphasizing shoulder and knee surgery; which makes sense being fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy. Since April of 2011, I have worked to establish a practice of my own with the goal of developing a “boutique” orthopaedic practice that emphasizes a personal relationship with the patient. I can surgically treat all areas of the body with the exception of the spine. I am board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Integrative and Holistic Medicine as well.
As the acronym suggests, Musculoskeletal Performance Orthopaedic Wellness and Rehabilitation; I recognize that patients are seeking alternatives to surgical intervention. Instead of deferring this responsibility, I have chosen to embrace it with the goal of managing the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal problems when surgery is not appropriate or is not mandatory. We choose to partner with and educate our patients, help to develop an action plan, and empower them to make their own decisions. This has involved the development of a handpicked network of other traditional and alternative providers of musculoskeletal care. Our practice also recognizes that the patient is an individual, a consumer, and that their time is valuable.
