Christian Legal Society of Belmont University is a professional and student-run organization discussing issues that overlap the Christian faith & the law.
The Christian Legal Society (CLS) is an organization that exists to inspire, encourage, and equip lawyers and law students, both individually and in community, to proclaim, love and serve Jesus Christ through the study and practice of law, the defense of religious freedom, and the provision of legal assistance to the poor.
National CLS Mission:
To nurture and encourage Christian law students by providing mentors and resources aimed at fostering spiritual growth, compassion outreach, and the integration of faith and practice; and to establish vibrant Christian Legal Society student chapters at every law school in the nation and at key Christian colleges.
Micah 6:8
But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do,
what God is looking for in men and women.
It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor,
be compassionate and loyal in your love,
And don’t take yourself too seriously—
take God seriously.
