TAEKWONDO
Taekwondo comes from Korea and dates back over 2000 years. The World Taekwondo Federation governs the sport and officially recognizes the Olympics and many tournaments such as, Pan-American, World Cup, Collegiate, and Junior Olympics. Chu's Martial Art teaches Taekwondo techniques that are officially recognized by the World Taekwondo Federation.



We teach traditional Korean Taekwondo and will help you develop in three areas:

Mentally and spiritually: we will teach you discipline, respect, self-confidence, and motivation.

Physically: we will start your training to match you physical fitness level. We will help you increase your reaction, speed, balance, flexibility, strength, and confidence.

Self Defense: using blocks, punches, and kicks to keep an attacker at a distance.

JUDO
Judo translates as the "gentle way" and teaches the principle of the application of technique to overcome size and strength. Judo emphasizes the efficient use of balance, speed, angle, direction and timing in the execution of Judo throws and other techniques.

You will learn that skill, technique and timing, rather than the use of brute strength, are the principal fundamentals in Judo.

Judo is a grappling art that will teach you to gain control over situations on the ground and standing. You also learn body mechanics and throwing techniques.

HAPKIDO
Hapkido uses pressure points, joint manipulations, and lockflows to gain control in up-close situations. Hapkido will enable you to get out of any grab.

Kendo is traditional weapons training. At Chu's Martial Art you can learn weapon training in addition to your other martial arts training.

Through your training you will learn to use 100% of your natural abilities. You will gain management ability and motivation in everyday life that will help you improve yourself, reduce stress, and gain peace of mind.

You will also gain greater self-control and increase your physical fitness in fun, motivational, traditional classes.

Physical Training
Physical training begins with a fun, aerobic activity which develops fitness though its diverse and award system. Physical training helps you naturally develop flexibility, physical fitness, endurance, balance, speed, and coordination.
Mental Training
You will also naturally develop mental skills. You can increase your self-esteem, self-discipline, self-confidence, self-control, self-respect, respect for others, leadership skills, patience, positive thinking, and concentration skills.

Through martial arts you can obtain the determination to reach any goal you set for yourself and the endurance to see it through! As a result of your training, you will feel less stress and more motiviation to succeed in every effort you undertake.

Self-Defense
By defininition, you will also be learning self-defense skills. In this day and time, self-defense is needed to protect yourself and your family. At a moment's notice you must be prepared to defend anyone in a life and death situation. Through the traditional martial arts you will develop reflexive self-defense responses with self-control.
Children


Children are extra special becuase they are learning life skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Fun classes teach discipline, respect, and concentration. Children become more alert, increase attention span, and become more motivated to succeed in school. Special attention can be given to children who need extra help. ALL children can succeed at Chu's Martial Art.
