I lived in the Lofts on 4th for several years. For the first couple years it was great. The apartment, even though we were on the 2nd floor on East 4th, was very quiet. Something we had actually specifically asked about when initially renting the apartment. Management was reasonably good and maintenance requests were handled relatively quickly. Cicerchi then found a new manager for Wonder Bar which is on the first floor of the building. The music was unbearable in our apartment. Management tried to address it but was never successful while we were living in the building. After months they seemed to just throw their hands up and say they had tried everything they could. Very frustrating! My main reason for this review is a caution to anyone considering the second floor apartment. Just know it will not be quiet.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! This is the nastiest and most unprofessional apartment complexes I've ever lived in. I rented a 2 bedroom for 2 years 2015-2017 . During the first year, there were no issues. It was close to perfect. However, as soon as I renewed my lease mice appeared out of no where. And I lived on the 3rd floor. When I told Katie the leasing manager about the mice issue being in my kitchen, she tried to make it seem as if no other tenants had complained about the issue & that they've never had mice problems before. She also didn't want to have maintenance come out to check the kitchen and to set traps until I demanded it. She also had the nerve to tell me that maintenance would only set traps once. I continued to have them come out though. The issue went away for a few months, but the mice continued to resurface. Not once did Katie have pest control come out to the building and she didn't inform the other tenants because she stated it would make them worry. So I dealt with this inhumane mice issue for about a year. They also have recent history of bedbugs in the building that I only discovered because a friend of mine was moving into a unit below me and she found them in her kitchen! Gross!!!! She also toured my apartment with future tenants while mice traps were out in the kitchen. When I was moving out, i found mice droppings in various other parts of the house that I didn't even know the mice were at. Also, I was supposed to receive my full $590 security deposit back within 30 days. When I received the check, I only got $432 back because she charged me for having a cleaning crew come out to clean the kitchen and bathroom. I cleaned both before I moved out, and not once during conversation or in the lease did it say that I would be charged for having professionals clean the apartment for new tenants. Aren't leasing companies supposed to provide that themselves.? This place is a joke and hell hole and they need to be reported!
I rented a 1br condo style unit at 12471 Cedar Rd for two years, and overall this was the best rental experience I ever had during my 8 years renting in the Cleveland area. I never had any major problems with my unit, and they never hassled me about anything. They're also the only ones who gave me a fair refund of the security deposit every single other landlord scoffed at the notion. My only real criticism is that recently they had been slipping on some basic stuff making sure the dumpsters are taken to the street, repairing the stairs at the rear of the building, offering recycling, etc. During my first year there, they had two employees who lived in the building who made sure these things weren't overlooked, but they retired and have not been replaced. So if you want a decent apartment in a good locations, this is a great option. If you expect hotel service, I don't even know what to tell you.
I've lived here a few years. Mgmt is great and staff is attentive to maintenance issues and the like. I would reccomend. Decent space for decent price.
