Fairly clean and newly renovated. Seats were extra comfortable and new. Lots of snack options, tons of theaters, and very very busy. Concession line took a good 20 minutes so arrive early. Parking is good, there are a couple garages nearby as well as street parking. Located at the mall so it’s a bit crowded. Screens were clear and huge, sound was crystal clear, and the quality was well above other theaters.
Super comfy reclining seats with spacious rows. You pick your seats when you buy your tickets so no worries about finding seats together in the moment. And the matinee prices at least were pretty reasonable!
They do not have butter dispensers available to the employee so they can put butter on your popcorn. After you buy the popcorn, you have to put the butter on yourself. I don't understand this change, especially since it's not the rule at every cinemark theater. Will someone explain why this is done at this location?
The movie theater itself is nice although could use a better selection of food in my opinion. The crowd is as ghetto as it gets. You WILL not be able to watch a movie quietly.. loud conversations, phone usage, I literally had to leave in the middle of watching Indiana Jones... And no one cared to keep the peace.
I love this theatre. I come here almost every week and the staff is always so friendly. The staff is also great at keeping their composure when the lines are out of control. The popcorn is always good and their fruit punch always hits different! Absolutely wonderful. I'm obsessed with their pizza too. I don't understand why it's so good!!! It is funny to see people anxiously waiting for these pizzas because they are just that good. The only thing that could make my experience better is for them to start carrying PICKLES! Some of the screens do have minor imperfections, which can be annoying if you tend to hyper focus on them, but I never actually ever had a bad experience in any of the rooms/auditoriums?. My only real complaint is that the concession lines can feel overly cramped at times. I wish the layout was a bit better to create a nicer flow but I'm not sure how that is achievable given the current counter structure. I do know that you can pre-purchase snacks using a computer or phone; however, there is not a pre-purchase option for the pizza and some other items, so standing in line is necessary. Overall, 5/5 stars. Two thumbs up.
Returned to the theatre to claim items that was told it was found. The person in charge had no idea or knowledge about my bag. I called back when the evening mgr. came in, I was left waiting on the phone for about 25 min. When I called back I was able to finally speak to someone. Although he had no information about my situation, there should be more communication between managers and staff. Unfortunately, no one knows what happened to my bag.
I called the theater to let staff know I left a bag there. The young lady took my info, n put me on hold to check. When she came back she ask me to describe what was in the bag, n what kind of bag was it. After doing this she told me she had indeed found the bag. I thanked her, n told her I would return the next day to retrieve it. Came back the next day, n now they said it wasn't there. I specifically ask the young lady did she find it the day before, n she said yes. I am very upset, n don't understand why she would say yes, n upon returning they said No. My trip back to the movies was $100 round trip. No one willingly would make a $100 trip knowing their bag wasn't there.
Looks like they are remodeling some theaters. Chairs, speakers and construction stuff in aisle ways. No free refills which stink. All other theater do it. Restroom had not been checked on. 2 toilets stuffed up.
I love the pike, its a staple in LB. All seats are recliners and their prices have not been raised as much as their HB counterpart. However, the bar at the Pike is such a hit or miss. I've been everyday M-Su and I could not tell you when the bar is open. HB Cinemark is an extra 20 minute drive, but I know their bar is always open.
This movie theater is super, in the center of Long Beach. The cinema is on the second floor, and from above you can see people walking around the stores.
