Cineplex Cinemas Markham & VIP

Decided to buy the VIP tickets which included a lounge and option to order pay food/drink items either to be eaten in lounge before the movie starts or inside the theater, arrived at lounge 60mins before showtime. Numerous tv screens with local sports inside or you can sit in their outside patio for some fresh air. Firstly, plenty of staff on hand to handle a slightly over 50% movie attendance, they were courteous and were customer oriented. Food/drink items were served within a reasonable time. Staff takes your order and delivers to you in lounge or inside the theater before the movie starts. Staff are also on-hand inside theater to take your orders, service stops when movie starts. Ordered a burger/fries to eat in lounge as I wasn't sure if eating food while watching a movie would have been a wise choice, maybe next time. Stella draft tap beer arrived nicely cold. Burger meat was dry, reminded me of the typical fast food burgers you would find at McDonald's or Burger King, however they were generous with the lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup toppings which worked well with the meat/bun. Fries were hot and crispy Individual private toilets was a nice personalized benefit Theater seats are large leather with individual attached tray tables, spring loaded reclining backrest. Seats/floors very clean, no stickiness or musty smells. I did order a layered butter popcorn $2.50 extra for butter. Can't watch a movie without it as I can't duplicate the buttered popcorn at home without making a mess. I'm so in to it. The cinema is clean and staff are very welcoming. They are located in the top floor so don't miss out. They also have Chinese movies as well.

A very good location to watch movies. A lot of parking space is available and there's many shops around the Cineplex so you can walk around if you're early. They also have alot of Chinese films which you can't find at other Cineplex locations. Was just a bit disappointed because the washrooms in the vip lounge was not as clean as I would expect from a VIP lounge.

Even though the theater is actually very nice, I'd give this place a 3/5 just because of how uncomfortable the seats are. I went to go watch Top Gun that evening and thankfully we sat all the way at the back so the seats reclined on the wall. Although the seats go back and forth and don't have a lock, we ended up leaving with terrible back pain. When it comes to volume and experience, they were all great. Screen is also nice and big.

Saw the new Batman movie. The theater seating is comfortable and the sound quality is good. We sat at the very last row so there was no one on either side of us. Just the two seats in front had people. The staff who took our food order was friendly. Food arrived fairly quickly. The food is not worth the price. We ordered: Medium popcorn-very salty virgin pina colada-tasted awful chicken bites-dry calamari-best one out of what we ordered. The batter was crispy but I’ve had better Because it had been sooo long >2years since we’ve been to Markham VIP, Date night was still enjoyable. Just wish the food was better given the cost.

Not crowded within while going for a 3.45pm show. Parking spaces are sumptuous if you don't mind parking a bit further away from the theatre main entrance.

The popcorn could've been a bit better but that will likely vary by visit. Wish they had more drink options, no ginger ale here. Overall, the theatre was clean and friendly staff, fun time at the movies. Location is ideal if you're looking for some food options close by and free parking.

First time trying the VIP service, and I loved the overall experience. You enter, and there is such an amazing experience of screens and bar and ordering services. Once you enter the theatre, you explain the overall services, and you can order directly from the chair. The food I found really good. I ordered the Bacon Poutine and Beach Please Fishbowl

It was amazing. The theater was easy to find. It was clean, the seats could recline and the food and drinks were delivered to your seat if you requested it. The next movie I watch will definitely be in the VIP section.

Been coming here for a long time. This location is ideal, clean and more of a mature crowd. However don't book, VIP cinemas here. The seats don't have a recliner button and you won't have you feet elevated and rested up. There is no point in coming to a VIP cinemas if the seats are able to recline. You're coming here to buy food and drink service to your seat that's it. This should be mentioned on their website somewhere.
