Circleville Country Store, Taylor, TX

Listen, I was born and raised in Texas so “Chicken Fried Steak “ is just One staple on the table that if it isn’t made right, they have no business serving it up but, that’s not the case at “Circleville Store”. After, more than 40 years eating CFS around different places and states I thought the good old fashioned CFS was gone forever until, I found this little Oh’ corner store out for a Saturday motorcycle ride with some other members of CMA, when I found the most exciting and delicious CFS I had ever come across in all those years. I would encourage anyone who is looking for the best CFS to visit this place to spoil their palette in the most amazing delicious way that would make you excited to come back. Now, don’t be alarmed when that cute little waitress takes your order without writing it down because her memory is sharp. Do yourself and your Family and Friends a favor and go checkout what I’m talking about. Make sure you call and check their hours because they close up the kitchen for a few hours and reopen it again. Burgers and nachos are amazing! Wife absolutely loves the grilled pork chops. She also loves the fish on Friday at lunch. Parking: Lots of parking but come early because the parking lot can get pretty full at times. Out here almost everyone drives trucks so they fill the parking lot pretty quickly.

I am working at a plant in Taylor, Tx and googled this place. Real good chicken fried steak hope I can work back up here to try something different.

Started working in this area a few months back, and tried new places to eat for lunch. Circleville Store made my top 5 list. If you ever find yourself in Taylor, make sure to stop here for a great meal, cold beer, and friendly faces.

Staff was very friendly. Chicken strips were amazing! The green beans were really good as well as the gravy. Definitely worth a stop in.

This is such a great place to eat and hang out. We’ve be going for years. The owners are great the staff is stellar and the local atmosphere is real. Don’t tell anyone!!

Food was okay, except I ordered a salad and our waitress forgot , so when our Chicken Fried Steaks came out I was a side short , so instead of a salad I would take a side of corn and my fries were cold!

Less than 5 min from our home and it's delicious. The cook is amazing and glad he's back. Great service and atmosphere . Just a small local gem .

Good food! Nostalgic place

Wow, finally got a chance to have dinner. We went with the 8oz ribeye. We were not disappointed. Very tasty and reasonable. Side selection is determined by the day of the week. Worth a trip to eat.
