Pretty slow and messes up my deposits frequently.
The entire banking chain decided, without warning, to shut their entire system down for "website" maintenance from 11pm-3am, 4 days in a row. This caused total lockout of my account. My card was declined everywhere, couldn't use the ATM, pump gas, make deposits etc. I was stranded in Dallas at 1am. Also, I was trying to make electronic transfer deposits from Uber into my account, that wouldn't go through, but they allowed gas charges and an auto draft from NTTA that caused me to have a negative balance when the system did come back online. When I went to the branch to see what was going on I was told by stern looking Rosie that "she didn't have anything to do with the website!" and the reason my card was declined was because of the negative balance. WRONG! I corrected the negative balance, and continued to make electronic deposits until, again at 11pm, the system went down. Again leaving me stranded at work with no use of my debit card. This time with a positive balance. So, irritated beyond belief that they would operate this way, I sent a colorful message to their online customer service. In that message I used a representation of a curse word "fu………" exactly typed that way and the word 'Shity" spelled with one "T." 2 days later, the Itasca bank manager, who reminds me of a bad elementary school principal, called me on the phone to scold me and let me know he had discussed the issue with his supervisor, and they would not be talked to that way, and they were closing my account. Good! Babies! Good thing they live and work in a town of 1600 with it's own little perfect world. The staff at this bank is un-informed, unfriendly, and the manager is the equivalent of a church deacon/HOA president/chalkboard monitor who apparently thinks he is your father. Citizens State Bank has no use for customers that are struggling or living paycheck to paycheck. Even when you pay them for your mistakes. Did I mention they have just local ATMs between the branch cities. That's right! You have to pay the $2.50-$5.00 fees at gas station ATMs.if Then, to rub salt in the wound, they charge you an additional $1 foreign ATM fee after the fact for not using their ATM. And, BTW the ATM they had was from the 70's, they just recently upgraded to one from the early 90's. It's broke as much as it works. I would be weary of the "small town charm" this bank uses to lure you in, and stick to a larger bank franchise that doesn't "close down" in the middle of the night on you.
The tellers, support staff and president of this bank are great. The V.P. on the other hand, in my opinion could have handled my loan a bit better. But would still recommend this bank to friends and family.
Most awful branch of the whole bank. They will tell people your personal information and also lie and trick you into bad decisions. I had a loan go default due to hard times and was lied to and told as long as I kept in contact with them then nothing would be filed against me. Needless to say less than 3 weeks later a constable woke my parents up late at night trying to "serve" papers for a lawsuit against me. Use any other branch but this one!!!
Great small town bank. Friendly employees
Really tired of getting to the bank at 358 and they are already closed.
Very helpful very honest
Love the people
