City Bakery is a local, artisan bakery founded in 2007 by owner, Michael Bortz. Michael is a third generation chocolatier whose family came over from Germany in 1906 and founded the Bortz Chocolate Company in Reading Pennsylvania.
City Bakery is highly acclaimed for high quality artisan breads and desserts. Breads baked by Michael have been the winner of the "Best Bread" in Denver four times.
