I ordered a bed from City Furniture in September! They delivered half of the bed in September because they “didn’t have storage” to hold it until the other half came. So I’ve been sleeping on the floor watching these boxes for 5 months. Finally, the other part was supposed to arrive last Thursday…. They reschedule without notice AGAIN. After calling relentlessly the rest of the bed arrives today. I told the delivery man that I had paid for the assembly service and he says that he is going back to the truck to get his partner to put it together. He NEVER CAME BACK. Flat out lied to my face. I am woman and there’s no way I can assemble that canopy bed on my own, which is why I’d gotten the premium service in the first place. I’ve gotten days of work off to wait for these deliveries and can never seem to have my bed in place. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. It’s not worth it.
The initial process was fast and easy! I made it very easy for Thomas, who was helping me, because I already knew what I wanted. The left chaise was back ordered until May 18 but the rest of the set would have been available the following day for delivery. I booked the delivery for the 24th so I could only have one delivery instead of taking two days off of work and have into a coordinate with my building to use the elevator. A couple of days before delivery I got a notification about my items being delivered but the chaise said it was on back order. I reached out to Thomas and told him about this and he told me to disregard it that it was indeed IN STOCK and I would have a FULL complete set on Tuesday the 24th. The day of the delivery my items were delivered with the exception of the chaise!!!! Thomas had lied to me!!!! I had to take an extra half day off of work the following day and coordinate with my building so I could receive the other half of my couch. I feel Thomas should have given me some sort of a discount and/or a set of pillows for his lies and inconvenience!!! Had I known I would’ve had to do two different deliveries, I could’ve just received my couch the following day and waited for the chaise. I had been out of a couch for 2 1/2 weeks because I waited for the complete set; I didn’t want to have to take more time off of work. But at the end of the day I had to take time off of work!! I reached out to Thomas to ask for any compensation and he ignored my email and failed to get back to me!!!! I do love my couch. The delivery drivers were very fast and efficient. However, if I was to ever purchase anything from this store again, I would not have Thomas be my sales person. I am disappointed with his lack of Accommodations and communication skills.
What a great experience! First, I called the store to get some information regarding mattresses. Sidney is the gentleman I spoke to. He was very polite. Made an appointment to see him later that day. He took his time and was great at helping my son select a mattress. Sidney was patient, courteous and answered all of our questions impressively knowledgeable about store products!. He followed up on the delivery date of our purchase. We will definitely be shopping with Sidney, again!
DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM HERE ! Canceled Our big order for a couch and more today , two drivers could not fit the couch in the elevator so they decided to get back in the car and drive off with out any communication while I was already in front out side with them . When calling customer service to see why they just left and for them to come back , the exact drivers forwarded the call on purpose to not come back to deliver what I payed for . Customer service also said they can’t do anything for us but reschedule… We will never get anything else from this establishment and I don’t advise anyone to get anything unless they want terrible service from there low payed employees.
DO NOT BUY HERE OR PAY FOR DELIVERY! It’s $200 dollars, they came to my property , the couch did not fit in the service elevator! The property manager let them use the lobby elevator, just because it took longer to get a confirmation for the insurance the drivers left without letting me know the delivery was canceled. I took a day off of work for this, customer service said they could not give me a discount or reimburse my day off of work that was a waste. The drivers refused to pick up the phone so they didn’t have to come back and deliver. They wanted to reschedule the delivery, it took one month for it to be delivered and now we have a hurricane, it would take even longer! I canceled my order! But for those looking for furniture pay more at other places! Save your headache. No one really wanted to solve anything just pushing it for another day, that I would have to take off of work! FYI most of their furniture will come defective or scratched paid for delivery as well the dresser I bought was scratched, My parents had the same that problem with them.
Unbelievable. No one answers the phones. I’ve invested almost 5 hours calling the Hollywood location and no one ever picks up the phone. I wanted to know if they had a specific item that I could see, but no one will pick up the phone to tell me if the item exists in their store, and I don’t have time to be running around, wasting gas time and energy if the item is not going to be there. You cannot trust their online system because the system verified to me that the item existed at the midtown location but it did not when I arrived. I did have a very nice sales person at the midtown location named William Gonzalez who was professionally enough to follow up with me via email about the specific item that I was looking for. He also emailed the Hollywood location but no one ever contacted me. You cannot escalate a call for customer service because they don’t provide this. So basically the customer service is seriously lacking. Very disappointing! I guess I will have to buy the item elsewhere. It’s hard to believe that these companies can stay in business with such a dismal customer service especially when they don’t even bother to pick up the phone. I wish I could give less than one star. Shame on you city furniture!
From start to finish, William provided a seamless shopping experience. I was in-between two sofas and a bit overwhelmed. My sales associate educated me on the differences between the Noah and the Brielle. He listened attentively and answered all of my major concerns such as like stock availability, protection for accidentals, and payment options. He understood that I moved from the opposite side of the country and that I needed everything thats available. Will definitely shop here again.
I’ve NEVER experienced such bad service. I ordered a mattress and they told me they would take my old one away. They took the mattress out of my apartment and just dumped it somewhere in my building. I called and they said they would pick it up - they came, the mattress was wet bc it had been sitting in receiving for days and so they didn’t pick it up AND told me there was nothing they could do about it. What the hell am I supposed to do with a mattress in my condo building?! Never buying here again! Just unbelievable.
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The quality of everything is trash. The customer service is horrible. I ordered furniture from here and it took months to come and then it all came damaged. I ordered replacements and they were in worse condition than the originals. Customer service was a nightmare and gave me a run around. I had credit to the store and they texted me about my credit then I came in to use it and they said it expired by a few days, even though the text didn’t say there was even an expiration date. I will never shop here again.
The first time delivery was so late it couldn’t be done. A week later, the delivery and the guys who did it were outstanding. Respectful, organized and their work was impecable. It was a delight!
