In January of 2021, I opened a City Furniture credit card and purchased several items. The waiting process began. In March I received a call regarding delivery of my bed but the headboard was missing so the bed could not be assembled. I called the Wellington store and the employee was very dismissive, saying that there was nothing they could do, the delays were due to COVID. Due to the poor costumer service that I received, I canceled my order but I was not fully refunded. I called the store again and spoke with Tiger, the manager, he apologized and offered a discount on a future order and persuaded me to order another bed in addition to other items. Months passed without delivery of my full bed. Other items that were delivered were damaged, stained, and in the wrong colors. The managers offered small credits. When the headboard was finally delivered it was broken and the bed could not be assembled. The rails and screws were left on my bedroom floor. In October, after 9 months, I went into the store and spoke with Weston. He said the bed I chose was no longer being manufactured and suggested that I choose another bed. He gave me a delivery date for 11/22. That bed also arrived broken. When I called the store manager, I was told they would send a loaner bed which I never received and no one contacted me regarding a resolution. I posted a complaint on Facebook about City Furniture. As a result, the manager, Weston called me. The excuse for not getting back to me was that they were short of staff. A representative from City Furniture’s Facebook team called me. I asked for a full refund. I was told I could not be refunded. I became angry and tearful, in addition, very frustrated at which time the representative hung up on me. I have spent over 10,000 dollars at that store. I paid premium delivery and 3 year protection plans and warranties on every single item that I purchased from City Furniture. I have taken time off work for deliveries that never came, and after one year wait my furniture never arrived. It is such a horrible experience. This store does not care about their costumers, they do not help them and all they care about is charging our credit cards for items that are no longer being manufactured.
We have been received the furniture for our Master Bedroom by pieces and the stability of the nightstands is not good, the nightstand is falling over when you open the drawer even without anything inside, if you put something inside it is worst; our family consider that this is a hazard to us and to our child; I have not been able to set a nightlamp on the because if I open one of the drawer it will fall to the front We had someone from City Furniture to visit us and he said that this is not a problem, are you sure this is not a problem? or you want this to become a problem when someone get hurt? City Furniture is going to be liable is something happen to me or anyone on my family; In conclusion, I bought a product from City Furniture that is a hazard and in addition to that, I cannot use the drawers and set a night lamp because it can be worse
The worse experience…. I buy more the 13,000 in furniture and came broke , damaged , dirty and to replace them is a big problem wait … wait … more wait , plus customer service the worse ….. don’t buy , they came more the 7 times to exchange and they don’t finish because the furniture it came with a problem , a lot of money for trash go somewhere else to buy furniture
Would love to give them zero stars due to quality, but google doesn’t allow it. We bought 2 outdoor linear sofa on 12/02/2021, they were delivered the following week. These “outdoor” sofas caught mildew in less than 3 months, they have been like this for over a month. I contacted Customer service today for their warranty and they denied my request as mildew it’s not covered in their policy. First of all, outdoor rated furniture/cushions should NOT get mildew in less than 3 months, specially during this season that it doesn’t rain every day; secondly, the lack of interest on fixing their fault amuses me. This is clearly false advertisement, they are selling a product for outdoor use, water resistant when clearly it is not, I wonder how many clients have purchased this product based on the description thinking it could work for the application yet 3 months later realized this was just another ripoff game from the big guys. The worst part is that probably their actual cost to replace those cushion covers is probably less than $200 for both sofas, yet their unwillingness to honor their quality is astonishing. I, Carolina Rosello Palm Beach County resident and former customer of CF, DO NOT recommend purchasing from City Furniture based on my experience of quality of 2 large outdoor linear sofas purchased and their lack to try to remediate the situation. It should be illegal to sell products that do not stand by the quality require for the application and no business should get away with this.
I was doing an unexpected move and needed in stock items very quickly. I worked with Sebastian Ramirez at the Wellington location. The young man was the nicest, most helpful sales associate I’ve ever worked with!. I’ve been buying furniture from City for almost 20 years. Not only was he helpful, but he definitely knew the full inventory of the store and went out of his way to really suggest pieces and be creative to go with the decor theme that I was striving for. Working with him was such an absolute pleasure and he really went out of his way to help me knowing that I could have the furniture I love with items that were in stock. I stopped in yesterday to buy some more things and showed him how my new apartment looked and he was excited to see how it all came together which made me happy. He even helped me with rugs and mattresses and took his time and was very patient with me. 5 stars !
Do not buy anything from City Furniture. They do not care about customer service. They will sell you products they do not have and then you wait months and months to receive if you are lucky. In 2021 I bought a couch. Waited 4 months for delivery only to receive half of the couch and be told they didn’t know when the other half would be available. Had to go back to the store and pick another couch. In September 2021 I made the mistake of purchasing another item from City Furniture. This time a recliner and although I received right away, it was defective. It took 2 months to have a technician come see the recliner to diagnose problem. He thinks it needs a new mechanism and although I told him I didn’t think that would not fix the problem he insisted it would. So I had to wait 6 months for the part to arrive only to be told it was the wrong part and would not fix the problem. So another recliner is ordered. I wait 4 more weeks and the day of the delivery the driver calls me 2.5 hours prior to my delivery time to tell me he is 15 minutes away and cannot wait for me. He says I have to reschedule delivery for another day. For the next 3 days I kept calling customer service to reschedule my delivery only to be told that the chair is on back order for another month because my chair that was in the truck for delivery was given to the next customer in line. How is this acceptable business practices? The es elation department at City Furniture felt that an $80 gift card would make things acceptable. That’s an insult to me. Good luck bro g able to speak to a manager because they are not available either so I’m writing this review as suggested by a sales associate because they felt it’s the only way to get anyone to respond d to me. I will definitely never buy anything else from this retailer.
The quality of Ashley is so much better than 4 other name brand stores I visited in the West Palm FL area. Service is excellent. Everyone is available to help and has an I pad in there hand. The 2 sales persons I worked with were 1st class. Antony the 1st day he was going to out of town and Tracey after that. What a team. She followed up with every detail perfectly. One piece had to be special ordered. We are going to be so happy with our new living/family room. The prices were excllant. Ashley our new furniture home..!!
Great experience today. So happy that Tracy was the sales associate who greeted me. I came in to buy a new bed and mattress. She was patient and helped me find a bed and mattress that worked for me. Can't wait for my delivery. If I am ever in need of new furniture, I will definitely be looking to Tracy for any City Furniture purchase.
Horrible experience at City Furniture in Wellington. We purchased a queen size mattress. After mattress was delivered we noticed a Floor Model tag was attached. I immediately called the store. Our salesman Dario was not there who we THOUGHT was great turned out to be the opposite.We specifically told him we would NEVER purchase a floor model mattress but that’s what we got. We also purchased a living room chair & sofa that day. We went back to the store that day & spoke to a manager who basically told us she couldn’t help us & we had to go through customer care. She did email them & the rest was up to us. Of course trying to get someone to talk to is next to impossible except for the one day I specified we would be out of town. Then my landline was called 2 times. This was our complaint: The mattress was a floor sample and we specified we would never purchase a floor model.Salesman were sitting on it, other people that day were lying on it as well. How can city furniture say they are following covid guidelines & sell us something that has had people all over it. I requested a refund just for the mattress & was told “ It’s not their policy. We were forced into an exchange of another mattress. I did not want to spend another penny in that store but was basically told “it’s their way & no exceptions will be made. We went back to the store yesterday to buy another mattress. The manager Karen had an attitude immediately & so did the salesman. Why?? It wasn’t our fault. I guess to “punish” us Karen scheduled a delivery for next week knowing that we are sleeping on recliners. The other mattress and furniture were delivered in 2 days.
I bought a bedroom set from City Furniture Wellington on Saturday 11/12/22, after I got home and reviewed my paperwork I realized that the sales associate had made mistakes that could have caused me more money if not corrected before delivery. It took many phone calls before I was able to talk with a person about the problem. The lady that I talked with informed me that the sales associate who sold me the bedroom set would not be in the store until Friday and I would have to come into the store to have the mistakes corrected so she rescheduled my order to be delivered a week later. I then told her to cancel the entire order, she stated that she could not cancel the order only the sales associate who made the sale could cancel it but I could come into the store and she would help me or I could talk with another associate. I drove 40 miles back to the store with the intent to cancel the entire order. After I got to the store I talked with Karen M. about the problem and she was eager to assist with making things right. The problem was resolved and I saved more money. Before I left the store Karen told me that she would try to have the furniture delivered on the original delivery date instead of it being delivered a week later. I received an email the next morning that my order would be delivered on the original delivery date. I am very pleased with the work Karen M.put into correcting the problem. I even received a call from Karen to tell me that my order would be delivered on Friday of this week. Thanks Karen M. for listening to understand and taking the time to care.
