City of Atwater Police

Thank You to the non-emergency assistance I received. The woman who took my call was very helpful after I locked myself out of my work vehicle with phone inside. I am not from Merced and too dependent on my phone, as I found out, so didn’t know the number to work to call for help. She contacted them for me and sent Sheriff out to me. He was a handsome guy with very nice smile, who waited there until I was safely met by my dispatcher and eventually back to work. Also to the awesome couple who gave me water and called MPD also kept me company while I waited.

The receptionist was very unprofessional! I had to repeat my situation several times because she was having a random conversation with a co-worker. My vehicle was broken into and was only requesting a unit to patrol my neighborhood. She stated, "we're too busy at this time." Atwater tax payers deserve better service from the Police Department!

The ID#3 receptionist is rude. Based on the comments on the reviews I see a number of people have had to deal with her and had a similar experience. If this police department gets a chance to take a look at the reviews placed online they should look to address this. Possibly customer service training is in order. Or maybe she needs to find something that will make her happier at a different job.

The lady that answered my call had a really nasty attitude about letting me talk to the officer that assigned me my case number. She had this same attitude the whole time I was on the phone with her and refused to let me talk to the officer. I don't appreciate this. You're job is to protect and serve right? Well, I didn't not receive the service I needed.

Did not give me the option of 0. APD is famous for a lot of things. They really make their department proud aha.I don’t do reviews at all no matter how bad the experience may have been but apd is something else LOL.

ID#3 is rude! I called from out of state and she doesn't have any manners! Take her off the force!! My goodness if I spoke to my boss the way she spoke to me, I'd be fired! The reason I know her ID number because I asked her name and she only gave her ID #. THUMBS DOWN or give her a course on customer service --- PLEASE!

Yes the dispatch women is terrible and unprofessional. Her ID is 3. Every time I call she says there are no officers available. I see plenty sitting in parking lots around town. This whole department is garbage

Never calling again. That lady who picked up the phone needs to have respect for the city she serves. Should find someone else who actually cares about what they do. She was just screaming questions at me so i hung up on her. Horrible evil person

The people here do not know what they're doing had my car stolen on Christmas day. Went here to get a release form they told me i had everything i needed, but when i went to the tow yard i still needed another form so now I'm going to have to pay extra thanks a lot atwater police department. Love living in Corruptifornia

I was concern that i could not Reach my mother by phone So today i had called atwater Police and they checked on Her i appreciate the officer and Dispatcher and staff.... .great job and I give thanks ! I appreciate the help I thank God they were there and the Services rendered.
