It's a beautiful place, more of a combo museum/ library. I was there for the first time and spent almost two hours just browsing art exhibits as well as book collections. The children's section is magical and inspirational. Plenty of free parking. Only downside is if you're not a resident or fill other requirements, there is an annual membership fee to borrow books or media. $150 a/o July 2023
Extremely clean library. They have a section for all your needs. The kids section is fantastic. It has something for all their curiosity. A big fish tank takes almost the whole wall. A big dinosaur and much much more. It has a little theater set aside for story time, you have to pre-register The library has a space designated for group study. A quiet seating area for individual reading. Computer section for adults separate from kids. Plenty books to read and things to see. Many activities to sign up for.
This beautiful library was exactly what it looked like in pictures. It is more like a museum that you should spend a day exploring. There is a beautiful fish tank in the front and the kids section is overwhelming. They also have a book sale so you can buy a book instead of trying to become a member.
Congratulations To the city of Cerritos for this amazing library for our children My daughter wants to come back again So many books to read, The fountain totally beautiful Great service I recommend it To all the parents So they can bring their kids here…
Great community resource that goes beyond books with programming and exhibits for everyone! You almost need 2 visits, one to look at stuff and the other to actually check out a book.
You want to take your kids, nephews, nieces, younger siblings, or just generally any annoying child and have them distracted while possibly learning? This is a the spot! It opens with a large aquarium, the coolest kid’s section ever. Like dang they got a dinosaur, we in New York’s Museum of Natural History or something? They for like 5 stories of books y’all’!! They also got a teen specific Center for them high schoolers to study and be nerds at. Highly recommend y’all visit and pick up a book!
They have lots of books for the kids and a big section of books in other languages. Is a good experience for the kids and if you live around the area is a good place to take your kids at least once a week.
Probably the best Library in all of SoCal tbh. Both the help desk at the children section and front desk are so helpful. Looking up books takes awhile but once you get the hang of it, its pretty easy to do. Checking out books would need a library card and if you dont meet the requirements to get it free, its a $150 yearly fee.
Very large library! It is very beautiful with artwork everywhere including a sculpture garden! Unfortunately the interior portion was closed as I went during a holiday, but the outside was still beautiful and peaceful. Would study here often if I lived closer.
Beautiful library with lots of interesting stuff. Great place to spend your weekend.
